Grab your space gear, because Destiny's long awaited beta will be hitting Sony platforms in just a couple of months. Expected to launch in July, PlayStation players will gain access before anyone else.
The time frame was confirmed during publisher Activision's first quarter conference call, and while we're still left guessing as to what the exact date will be, let's not forget that 'Bungie Day' is an event that takes place on 7th July every year, and usually sees the developer release special downloadable content. Is the summery month a good time for you to get stuck into the sci-fi shooter? Hop aboard your shrike in the comments section below.

There's a Bungie day?
Got my Beta access code waiting right here...
@get2sammyb On 7th July each year, Bungie seems to drop a little something. In the past it's released things like Xbox dashboard themes or specific Halo multiplayer playlists. Bungie day was born... sort of.
Where do I sign-up!?
@KillTheG1mp You'll need to pre-order the game at certain retailers to grab a code!
@ShogunRok Oh gawd! I don't normally pre-order games, but I might make the exception on this one! So far, Bungie has never disappointed me before with the Halo series so!
@KillTheG1mp Yep, I can't see Destiny going wrong with Bungie at the helm, but we should know for sure when the beta comes out.
Bungie day is on my birthday? Nice I guess, though this is the first time there'll be anything for me to celebrate Bungie for on that day
This game can't come soon enough. I wasn't too excited watching that new trailer but everything else connected to this has looked amazing. Also to echo the sentiments of others we can't go wrong putting out faith in bungie. I'm definitely going to pre order this to get in on the beta.
