In one of Sony's biggest surprises of its E3 2014 press conference, the company revealed that inFAMOUS: Second Son is to get a piece of standalone DLC that features spunky conduit Fetch.
Playing as the neon powered protagonist, the download features a whole new storyline as well as new locations. As stated, it'll be available as a standalone slice of content, but you'll unlock bonus bits and pieces if you own the parent game. Sporting a short but sweet trailer, Fetch's romp seems like it'll be well worth a look, especially if you're hungry for more super hero antics on PlayStation 4. Best of all, you won't have to wait too long for it to drop, as it'll be blinding the PlayStation Network this August. Are you already beaming with excitement? I'm pre-ordering this one. I hope we get some proper Delsin DLC too though.
Pre-ordering as well. The main game was way too short, so I'm happy to re-visit the inFamous universe again so quickly.
Second son left me feeling empty. Great to look at but an empty world with very little to do. I won't be paying for extra content, not for me.
@Mrskinner
Yeah, compared to something like Watch Dogs I definitely felt there wasn't much to do in the open world. Main story was great though and for what you can do the gameplay is rock solid. That's enough to get me to go back. We don't really know much about this one though, I'd say before completely writing it off, see if maybe when the devs talk about it they talk abut opening things up slightly more? Doubtful but Sucker Punch is a Sony first party studio and one thing Sony has shown this gen is it does listen to feedback, good and bad.
@Gamer83
Game looked great don't get me wrong, but even though it was a great story, it ended too quickly for me. I felt the other conduits should have had a deeper role in the main game, not as added DLC to make monetary gain. I don't like it when it feels like the DLC should have been part of the actual game and not a paid add on.
Yes the open world felt empty with pretty much little to do, and with Neon you could traverse the whole map way too quickly. I think Sucker Punch missed a trick by not including user created missions like infamous 2.
I think I may have too many issues with the release to revisit
@Mrskinner
Was over too quick, no question and can't say I totally disagreed with the sentiment that maybe this kind of story could've been woven into the full game. I'm still going to buy this though, too big of a fan of the series to skip it.
@Gamer83 And that is what makes gaming great and personal, one person favourite game isn't anothers and vice versa. Something for everyone in Sony's playgrounds.
Count me in. Had a fun time playing through Infamous and maybe I'll get the bad karma story done before this drops too!
OMG!!! I'm beaming with excitement.
Any word on the bonus bits for those of us who have the full game?
Loved infamous probably more than most, but I think I may hold out on this. While neon was the best power, I probably would have gotten it day one if it was a new power or something. Or if they said how long this was. If the main game was so short I want to see people's reactions first to the length of this.
Looks like i will be returning to Infamous in August
After this, we'll probably get inFAMOUS: Third Nerd featuring Eugene
Hopefully, playing as Fetch doesn't feel too similar to neon Delsin.
It seems like decent DLC but while I enjoyed Infamous: 2nd son I rarely revisit games so I learned that buying DLC is a waste for me personally as it doesn't get played. By the time it comes out I've moved onto other games.
I wish it was a second story for Delsin. ..but I'll deal. .. Hope she has a different moveset
@Mrskinner Amen brother! Amen!
