If you go out in the woods today you’re sure of a big surprise – a crazed Little Red Riding Hood gunning for your blood. Belgian indie GRiN – not to be confused with defunct Swedish studio, er, GRIN – has confirmed that strange side-scroller Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries will release on the PlayStation 4 in 2015 – and will be playable at GamesCom later in the year for attendees of the German show.
Much like the Amanda Seyfried movie from a few years back, this promises a dark interpretation of the French fairy tale, depicting an enraged heroine who’s hell bent on getting revenge on toy soldiers for, er, some reason. Judging by the gameplay footage embedded below, the title still looks early, but with a year or so until release, there’s plenty of time for the developer to polish the protagonist’s blade.

Looks OK, not my bag though.
Coming 2014
I really like the idea behind the game but the gameplay didn't look too intriguing.
@Chronobreak Press release definitely says 2015.
They did a good job with the bionic commando hd game...so if you're into this kind of game I guess it would be good?
Yeah I like the idea but this isn't my type if game. Make it a gory hack and slash. With a dark story, now that would be awesome.
@zeldagaymer93 Agreed.
No, this game will fail hard, that is one ugly flat chested broad and they could have done better with the character model, this is a skip for me!
@BoltedArc That's your measuring stick for success and failure? lol.
Reminds me a lot of American McGee's Alice. I am a huge fan of those games, and will be picking this one up.
Reminds me of American McGee's Alice as well. Those games bored me, so I'll be passing on this one.
@PSIN4MANT not at all, I did not think I needed to mention the gameplay , also these days idk why but if isn't a graphical marvel no one seems to want to buy it especially if its going to be a full priced game! What I mentioned was just me being blatantly ignorant, on another note I'd definitely buy it if it had lollipop chainsaw build with a darker outlook but I don't see that! You should try not to read too much into things, but she is fugly!
What? You mean GRIN survived Square-Enix?
The trailer clearly states 2014, but as this game was featured in Microsoft's indie sizzle reel at E3, I'd say that's the release date for the xBone version, and exclusivity runs out in 2015 when it will hit the PS4.
