Stop the world and let us get off, because everyone at Push Square towers is pretty pooped this weekend. While the sheer excitement of E3 2014 has kept the sleepiness away, there’s no doubt that it’s taking its toll on all of us right now – and you’re probably feeling a little groggy after those late night press conferences to boot. What better way to kick away those blues, then, than with a few days spent sitting in front of your favourite games console? You know the drill, so let us know what you’re playing this weekend in the comments.

I absolutely adore video games, as you all know – but, honestly, I think I’m going to take a break this weekend. With the World Cup now in full swing, I’m going to make sure that I’m up to date with that, and also make the most of the humid weather that’s currently sweeping the UK. If I do pick up a controller, though, it’ll be to play Entwined.

Myself and many others on the team have been fortunate enough to receive a code for Destiny's recently announced Alpha, which means that Bungie's shiny space shooter will have my full attention over the next couple of days. The single hour that I invested in it yesterday has already assured me that it's going to be something special; I mean, it's got a place called 'The Tower' where you can just go and hang out with your friends – how cool is that? Oh, and the shooting's pretty good, too, if you're into that kind of thing.

There are too many E3 videos to watch in a week, so I'll be playing YouTube this weekend. Push Square's YouTube channel has an abundance of E3 trailers, and the PlayStation press conference for me to enjoy a second time. The official PlayStation channel has interviews, too. I've watched some already, but I fancy hearing direct from developers about DriveClub (Paul Rustchynsky), Alien: Isolation (Al Hope), The Order: 1886 (Dana Jan), and Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty (Lorne Lanning).

Now that the craziness of E3 is over and my university work has died down, I can finally get around to playing Watch Dogs. I tend to get dangerously addicted to open world games, so it’s likely that Ubisoft's latest will devour my entire weekend, but if I do have some extra time, I might try to tackle the pleasantly challenging Entwined.

After this long and busy week, I'm taking my thinking cap off and indulging in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. While you would think that I would be playing the first title in the saga, it's the unloved sequel Chain of Memories that will be stealing my weekend. Not only is it the one game that I missed in the franchise, but there is also no need to get wrapped up in puzzles or worry about random monster ambushes. Even on Proud mode, it should bring a peaceful weekend's entertainment.

This weekend it's going to be all about games that are coming out later in the year, as I spend more time with the Destiny Alpha and the Battlefield: Hardline beta. I've been really impressed with this small slice of Destiny, and it's really helped me get a grasp of how the game’s going to play when it finally comes out in September. Battlefield: Hardline, on the other hand, feels like it's just a mod for Battlefield 4, and has so far failed to capture the cops and robbers vibe that Payday 2 encapsulated so well. On the upside, though, the netcode is already much more stable than Battlefield 4, with no disconnects or rubber banding in sight.

Well, with the surprise E3 announcement that PS4 players can play the Destiny Alpha this weekend, I imagine I'll be spending a lot of time with that. I've always been a massive fan of Bungie, and from what I've played so far of Destiny, I'm not really going to have anything to worry about. I want to do another run through Entwined as well, because I loved it – plus, there’s an extra Trophy up for grabs – as well as maybe play through some Trine 2.

First, I've got to mention that I played FUSE last weekend with three friends, which turned out to be far more fun than I would've had on my own. I definitely recommend it for a solid co-op experience. Anyway, since I got accepted into the Destiny Alpha yesterday, I'll be playing that over the weekend in order to soak up the gorgeous world and gameplay that Bungie has graciously bestowed upon me. After that, I think some more Transistor and Mario Kart 8 will do. I might even get back into Dark Souls II as well, since the reveal of Bloodborne has kept From Software on my mind the past few days.

This weekend I will be intimidating criminals with a bit of good cop/bad cop in the Battlefield Hardline beta. There are many new features – batons, zip lines, grapple hooks, taser guns, etc – and it feels completely different to any other Battlefield title. I will also be spending my time exploring the Alpha of the much anticipated Destiny. This already looks and plays like a charm, and it's still quite early, so I cannot wait to play the beta and get my hands on the full release this September.
And we’re done. Will you be diving into the Destiny Alpha this weekend, or are you planning to unwind with something a little more relaxing like Entwined? Upload your itinerary in the comments section below.

I'll see all World Cup and between the games some Persona 4 Golden for my Vita.
I'm playing this weekend
Mass Effect: Starting Again from the first
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance: Need to get round to doing the last level
Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes (PS4): Need to get the rest of the XOF Patches
and mess around on Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 HD when I get bored I guess
Luftrausers. All day, every day.
@CanisWolfred Good pick.
Its Fathers Day, going out drinking tonight and a pirate festival for more drinking tomorrow, arrhh.
Does the EU/UK have Fathers Day? If not, how do men get ties, aftershave, and electric razors?
BF4 got another update and this time it's supposed to have actually fixed something! I'd been avoiding that nonsense but hopefully I won't be able to stop now
@rjejr I totally read "erotic razors." Was like wtf...
@rjejr Yeah, it's Father's Day tomorrow here, too.
Watching the football/Soccer world cup games.
I just got Watch_Dogs so I'll be playing that. I expect I'll be charging the dualshock 4 a lot.
@CanisWolfred I actually ended up playing this in the soft play area today. Was so proud I got past being useless to 'not bad'.
Dragon Age Origins and NBA 2K14.
I have inFAMOUS: Second Son (hated the first two but can't judge unless you try) and The Walking Dead Season 2 on Vita to go through but I doubt I'll even touch a console this weekend thanks to seven games of football being on. Determined to watch every game this tournament so in-between doing that, Father's Day, Skype with the missus (in Japan, lucky cow) and the littl'un I don't think I'll have time to sleep, let alone play games
I'll be playing Destiny of Spirits. Same game since it launched. I just checked and apparently I've clocked 382 hours in it.
I'll be playing the Destiny alpha and maybe some watch dogs. I've been really enjoying Destiny so far. Joined a session with @Shogunrok earlier and he seemed to be enjoying it to. It's a very slick alpha, the full game has the potential to be very special indeed.
Tests on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Piano exam on Saturday. If I get any time I will be playing Spec ops: The Line and Dota 2. Spec ops is making me rage though (Playing on FUBAR as i'm going for platinum)
World cup and working out. The Netherlands destroyed the World champion Spain with 5 -1.
Going to be mainly watching the World Cup games but in between that and work I will be playing the Destiny Alpha. I can't wait for September.
I'm juggleing Watch Dogs, Killzone Shadow Fall, and more that the previous two the Destiny Alpha. I think playing that alpha is convincing me to preorder Destiny
@charlesnarles - I saw some new erotic razors in Target the other day from Trojan, but they don't actually cut anything, and I think they would make better Mother's Day than Father's Day gifts
@rjejr Blimey oh riley!
@get2sammyb - Another reason to buy Hallmark stock, but I think they're a private company.
@rjejr
We have Father's Day here in Brazil only on october.
I'm working this weekend, so if I can get around to play anything it'll probably be the DLC chapter of Dual Destinies, which is surprisingly great. If I can play anything when I get home it'll be Mario Kart 8 as I want to get gold on the 150cc after I did it on the 100cc cups.
My Junior year of Highschool ended last week, and its kind of sad that I don't wanna be a Senior yet. Lol. But since its the summer I will have more time to finish my backlog of games.
MLB 14 The Show (PS4)- This is the game I'm giving most of my attention to. Right now I'm like 20-5 or something on my franchise with the Rays.
Destiny Alpha Beta (PS4)- I have played a bit of it and so far its pretty decent. As a huge Halo and Bungie I'm hyped for this game. And when my cousin gets his PS4 later this year it will be even runner. Just haven't played much because I'm kind of sick of shooters.
Pixel Junk Shooter Ultimate (PS4)- Yeah I enjoy this one more than Resogun. Its a fun indie. Glad we got it for PS+
Trine 2 (PS4)- Gonna get back into this one. Awesome 2D side scrolled. Beautiful visually too.
Wolfenstein The New Order (Xbox One)- Haven't touched this game in a while, I'm taking it slow becuase I want to save something to play for later, and like I said I'm kind of not in the mood for FPS right now.
Ryse Son Of Rome (Xbox One)- I already beat it a few weeks ago, but I enjoyed it so much I wanted to play it again.
@get2sammyb - "Blimey oh riley!"
You've been working too hard this week, you need a night out drinking more than I do.
I'm working on getting the platinum trophies from Assassin's Creed II and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. After that, I'll probably move on to some Ratchet and Clank!
@chazaroonie Yeah it's fantastic, really can't stop playing it. I'm having to split my time between the Alpha and the World Cup. What a hard life!
Nothing for me, only World Cup action this weekend.
I will be playing MK8, Crashmo, Nightsky and maybe Bayonetta.
@JMC If I was in Brazil I wouldn't be able to play any game, I'd be out on the streets experiencing the sights, sounds and colours of all the nations visiting your country. Even if I didn't like football I think I would. Once in a lifetime experience.
@rastamadeus
I can't be out in the streets right now because I'm currently at work and when I get home, the whole world cup buzz in my city will probably be over, as I'll be home only at night. Then, I'll probably enjoy a little game time.
However, on thursday, I didn't do anything but watch the whole world cup. That day, was also Valentine's day here, so I watched the game with my girlfriend and it was great as she loves soccer.
Started Assassin's Creed III this morning, been playing the games from AC I back to back. Also been spending some time playing MLB The Show 14 this afternoon - think I'm finally starting to get the hang of the game. Will be playing these two and on my Vita in between watching the World Cup.
This My favorite article im not sure why( this and polls), i love reading what everyone here plays every two weeks or so, just wish it was every week Just wanted to throw that out there...
Anyway after completing Borderlands 2, a empty part of my soul is catching up on backlog , Starting with Dragon's Crown! Wind Waker HD, The minish cap, (zelda weekend)
@odd69 Dragon's Crown - good choice, great game..!!
@ShogunRok: Sounds like me except I also have to through in work into that mix. So unfortunately that means 8 hours of no World Cup or Destiny for me.
Sly Cooper: Theives in Time
Im loving it, had this on my To Get On Vita list, was happy to see it for free for PS Plus members. Great game, will be getting the Sly Cooper Collection.
Firstly I just want to thank the staff for the past week of E3 coverage, you guys did an awesome job as always and deserve a break.
This weekend will mostly be about sports. I'm disappointed the Stanley Cup finals are over because four out of those five games were great, edge-of-your-seat contests and I would've loved to see the series go seven. Tomorrow night, hoping for the Spurs to end Miami's run atop the NBA. Will watch some of the World Cup as well.
For gaming, still not done with Watch Dogs, I've gotten a lot of the side stuff out of the way so will hopefully be able to make a big dent in the main story missions, I'm only two or three missions into Act III.
More and more Watch dogs, the story is getting a wee bit darker now.
@get2sammyb Thanks to you guys here at Push Sqaure I'm playing the Alpha of Destiny Haven't been able to put the controller down haha done warlock and now nearly finished Hunter
@NicolaHayden Yeah, the game takes some getting used to. I've been playing for hours on end, and I still have times where I won't last more than a few seconds. That said, I've encountered the dreaded blimp a couple of times, so I must be getting close!
Stikl watchdog and pick final fantasy 14 on discount, upgrade that to ps4
On vita side, still the same SAO ,soul sacrifice delta, and rainbow moon
Destiny is quite good but i feel its like upgraded warframe anyway fun to play with friend but no fun doing alone
I'll be watching tje World Cup & getting into the Destiny Alpha
I'm currently playing Dead Space 2 (PS3), I just completed Chapter 5.
Is Luftrausers really good? I just downloaded it for the ps3. Also I am downloading diablo 3, planning to play both this weekend.
Gotta play some Watch Dogs..
Finishing Strangers Wrath on Vita, which has been excellent. Then onto Borderlands 2.
Meh, at a festival but I got a battlefield hardline beta code so I'll be playing that when I get back.
Destiny alpha for me
Well the World Cup has taken over, played my obligatory FIFA 14 game of England vs Italy and guess what i lost 1-2... putting some time into the Destiny Aplha, and need to do those pesky drinking games in Watch_Dogs to get the platinum..
Playing the lovely Brothers with my daughter and of course Watchdogs
