Sony engineers are currently on the Isle of Man scouting out the British landmass’ famous Mountain Course for the PlayStation 4’s first iteration of Gran Turismo. The track – which plays host to the Isle of Man TT event every year – provided the inspiration for Polyphony Digital’s motorcycle spin-off Tourist Trophy, hinting that bikes may make an appearance in the next-gen release.
According to Bike Sport News, the platform holder is currently trying to strike a deal with the local tourist board in order to include the 37 mile route in the impending release. Should the circuit make its way into the game, it would be the Japanese developer’s biggest undertaking yet, with the Nürburgring one spot behind. Series overlord Kazunori Yamauchi admitted recently that the next iteration in its uber-popular racing series is in production now.

"in production now" for PD usually means it will release in 2-3 years.
@BloodyBill It will probably come out in 2016.
Anyway, I hope they include bikes. Tourist Trophy on PS2 was great.
bikes in GT would be great, TT was fun
I would like to see bikes too.
Gran Turismo 5 delays destroyed the franchise for me. Not only was it delayed so often it became a joke but PD churned out a very average game in the end. I think it's time Sony either closed PD or gave them a new project (along with some project management courses). Give the Gran Turismo IP to Evolution.
Bikes in GT?! NO thank you. How are you supposed to "faithfully" control them? Steering wheel? Controller? Pff... Better stick to the simulation, deliver on your promises and don't overstretch yourself on lofty goals you a) will not meet and b) only a fraction of your customers care about.
