What do you get when you mix stealth, steampunk, and a sprinkling of high fantasy? Okay, so you probably get Dishonored or Thief. But now there's a new kid on the block, in the form of PlayStation 4 title Styx: Master of Shadows.
Developer Cyanide Studio recently announced the project on the PlayStation Blog, and it seems that the team is focussing on providing a thoroughly traditional experience. "For this game, our goal was to return to the roots of the genre," the post stated. "We want to offer a real challenge to the player, with a game requiring strategy and reflexes."
The stealth-'em-up doesn't take itself too seriously, though, as its main character – a goblin named Styx – just so happens to be the proud owner of a snarky and sarcastic wit. If you're not entirely convinced, take a gander at the title's announcement trailer down below. Just, er, maybe mute the video, as the voice acting is a teensy bit ham-fisted.
What do you make of this game? Are you a fan of its brand of dark fantasy mixed with stealth, or is it just a bit too camp for your tastes? Sneak about in the comments section below.

hmm
Styx is Back!! i really like played him in Orc of men.
Loved the last game. !!
(Here is the Plot :
Of Orcs and Men first puts the player into the role of an elite Orc soldier, Arkail, from the legendary legion of Bloodjaws. The legion is a league of warriors deeply involved in the war between the Orcs and the Goblins on one side and their persecutors, Humankind, on the other. As a veteran warrior who has seen the most brutal of battles, the player is appointed by the Orc commander to complete a mission that could change the course of the war, to kill the Emperor himself, the man responsible for the bloodshed. A Goblin, Styx, soon joins the player, an unlikely but indispensable ally)
Well keep a eye on this 1
@SimonAdebisi So it's rubbish, for being on PS4?
Is this exclusive to ps4? Or also coming to xbox one? Also is this an indie budget game or is it going to be a larger scaled game? Andddd finally does anyone know if there's a release date ?
This could be intresting. I'm not that keen on playing a goblin though, I mean they are kind of famous for being cannon fodder.
Might be fun. Will need to see more. Thief was a bit disappointing so I hope this will be better.
@SimonAdebisi They might not have put on it on PS3 because it's a lot harder to develop for than the PS4, and it also has less power in addition.
Not particularly a fan of goblins or steampunk, but it looks like it could be entertaining. I'll keep an eye open for more gameplay.
