505 Games’ morbidly graphic long-range shooter Sniper Elite III has enjoyed a second week at the top of the UK sales charts, putting a bullet in fellow next-gen rival Watch Dogs. Despite being available on last-gen systems as well, both games sold best on Sony’s latest machine, evidencing the commanding position that the Japanese giant holds in Britain these days.
With the World Cup sprinting towards a dramatic conclusion, FIFA 14 dribbled into third, as Wolfenstein: The New Order continued to excel on the back of positive word of mouth in fifth – more proof that you don’t necessarily need a multiplayer mode to find success in today’s market. Elsewhere, EA Sports UFC slipped out of the octagon into seventh.
The physical version of Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition continued to prove its popularity in ninth, as PlayStation 4 exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son hovered around the middle of the charts, this time in 27th place. Despite the closure of developer Airtight Games, spooky detective sim Murdered: Soul Suspect actually moved up a spot, into 21st position.

I never thought I'd say that... those sniper-bullet-hits are too gruesome for me. Don't want to watch it over and over. I think I've been scarred by certain websites out there showing similar stuff, only irl.
Over a month after release and Mario Kart 8 is still in the top 10 for individual chart, I'm happy about that didn't want it to go the way of Pikmin 3 and DKCTF.
@Jazzer94 I really like Nintendo seeing some success finally, but still, don't forget that they had a really sour first year and when all the first party titles of this year are out, then what? ;(
I wish Nintendo would have built a "more traditional" console, scrapped the gamepad and just went with the vibe of Xbox One and PS4, that way they'd have more third party support and STILL their awesome first party titles. But... yeah.
@Scollurio I had those sort of gamepadless thoughts last year but then started to realises things would've been a tad boring this gen with three near identical consoles going for the same approach.
I haven't forgotten last year (I've had my Wii U since launch night) but when you look back at all the games released it was fairly solid just not spread out correctly. Plenty of games still to get this year SSB4 (3DS and Wii U), Bayonetta 1+2, Hyrule Warriors and Captain Toad might also pick up Project Cars if the version is good to support the devs. Games that are coming 2015 Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem (maybe), Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Mario Maker, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Woolly World, Zelda Wii U (maybe), Devil's Third (I think will be delayed till 2015 even I've heard 2014) and very likely more to be announced in future directs, Nintendo will support the Wii U till the end so I'm not worried about my purchase with 15 games so far (and one more in the post) I've got plenty to play at the moment.
@Scollurio I dont think its that bad. IMO the xray makes it even less realistic but just interesting to see where the bullet hits. I like the whole slow motion thing anyway and really enjoy Sniper Elite 3. I think you can change the game setting option for 'bullet cameras' with no xray it says but I didnt even try
