It’s funny how you can remember your way around familiar locations even if you haven’t been there for years. We spent so many hours in Shenmue’s eighties recreation of Yokosuka on the Dreamcast that we know every crevice of this incredible Minecraft replica. It’s been built using a modified edition of the PC release, but it's more than impressive enough to land a spot here.
Truly the most incredible thing is the authenticity. For example, the Hazuki’s dojo comes complete with secret underground chamber – home to the Phoenix Mirror, fans will remember – while Nozomi’s flower stall and Tom’s hot dog stand are present and correct. There’s even a quick cameo from Megumi’s orphaned kitten.
Sadly, there’s still no word on whether Shenmue will ever get the third instalment that it so richly deserves. Series creator Yu Suzuki has said that he’s ready to make it, but the appropriate funding appears to be causing the auteur a bit of a headache. At this point, we’d honestly settle for a mere PlayStation Network re-release, but even that appears to have met Dou Niu-like resistance of late.

This is great, and makes me want the third release even more!
Why won't they release the original on PSN? Would probably make Sega a lot of $.
Makes me want to play a game of Lucky Hit!
...okay.
@Godsire- You'd think so, wouldn't you? Some people have said that Jet Set Radio/Space Channel 5/etc didn't sell as well on PSN as they hoped. I dunno, I'm with you - seems like easy money.
I see...blocks.
Thats not the standard texture pack is it, looks too nice?
The draw distance is too good, people need to pop in right in your face for the true experience.
the consoles get the shaft on minecraft, the pc players are lucky, they have the mods, the everything the ps4 should have
