Finnish developer Housemarque has been hinting at some kind of Gamescom 2014 announcement for a while now, but it’s stepped up its efforts with this cheesy faux news broadcast. In the video, the Resogun maker reveals that it will be in attendance at the German show – and suggests that it will have something new to announce. Whether it’s downloadable content or a whole new project remains to be seen.
The company obviously has a history at the convention, as it announced its PlayStation 4 launch title at the show last year. It also revealed Dead Nation at the event many years back, so we suspect that we’ll be seeing the studio on Sony’s stage tomorrow. We know that the organisation is working on a second exclusive with the Japanese giant, as a press release confirmed as much a while back. All will seemingly be revealed this week.

Excited for this, they nailed it with ResoGun. Would like to see a new IP but new DLC for resogun would be cool to. Just not as cool, lol.
Something called "The Reap"?
The name/logo appears briefly on the slider at the top of their website, between the main articles.
EDIT: Hmm... perhaps not. There's a page for it, it's a PC game apparently. Not sure why it's popping up like some hidden secret on their featured article scroller, though. http://www.housemarque.com/games/the-reap/
I've only just started playing Resogun - loving it! - so some new DLC available immediately would be nice.
Wouldn't mind Resogun in 3D at all!
@Longaway I would LOVE them to add 3D to Resogun too
It's quite possible that they could be bringing out a PS4 version of Super Stardust HD. I seem to recall a lot of billboards dotted around the in game world of Dead Nation: Apocalypse edition advertising it ... the answer could have been under our noses the whole time
Housemarque rules. I hope it's a new IP.
@FiDRoC Super Stardust for PS4 would be awesome! Particularly if it included custom soundtracks and 3D, like the PS3 version.
Is there a chance that one of their games will be for the PS Vita?
I can't believe people actually like Resogun. I mean, I don't...that's why I clicked on this article. I still remember showing people Resogun when I first got my PS4...the shame, the boredom. I like bullethell shooters, but c'mon...seriously. It doesn't offer anything new to the genre, and if anything, is meager in its content.
Housemarque...one developer I'm not sure how they are still around.
