In one of the more unexpected announcements at Sony's Gamescom conference today, it was announced that popular survival MMO DayZ will be coming to the PlayStation 4. The shambling shooter sees you and your buddies dropped in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, provided with essentially no resources, and then forced to fight for survival.
Intriguingly, this pleasant port will actually enhance the PC version of the game through the use of 64-bit servers, and a new cross platform renderer. We're not entirely sure what either of those highly technical terms mean, but we suspect it's good news for everyone. No specific release date was given for the notoriously challenging title, but we still think this is definitely one to watch.
Will you be scouring the scorched wasteland in DayZ on PS4, or have you already done your time with the PC version? Let us know in the comments section below.

I think it looks ok , I'll get it
Who needs another tomb raider game? PS fans get a much cooler game. By the time it hits PS4 it will be out of early access on steam, or maybe it will be PS4's first early access title. SOE has a similar title so they must have done something right with dayz, plus there is a couple other clones out there, so imo thats tight that Dayz is coming to PS4
ive really been wanting to play this but im not a pc gamer so im happy, ill get it.
I've always wanted to play this so this is awesome news!
In all my time of playing DayZ, I've gotten so close to finding my friends only to die just before we could meet.Hope when PS4's comes out, it'll not have some of the issues I have with it. Like falling a few feet and dying.
Surely will be tweaked now that they will habe a little support from Sony.
