We thought that PlayStation Vita music management simulation BigFest was taking an extraordinarily long time to develop – but now we know why. Sony XDev Europe has taken to the PlayStation Blog to confirm that the title – which sees you run a Glastonbury-esque festival from hiring the bands to placing the porta potties – will also be coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
On the next-gen machine, the free-to-play release will run at 1080p and 60 frames-per-second, and will also support cross-save with the handheld version. We actually think that Theme Hospital type titles have been severely under-represented in recent years, so we’re really looking forward to this. The fact that it will allow you to discover new unsigned bands while you play is just the icing on the already seemingly delicious cake.

Can't wait for this!
Is it new bands only then? Because I'd be much more likely to buy it if I could set up a Led Zeppelin concert.
First Pre-Gamescom Vita news: Remember that vapourware exclusive we announced for Vita? Yeah its coming to PS3 & PS4 now.
@ObviouslyAdachi Yeah, it's strictly unsigned bands.
@get2sammyb That's a shame
They should really set it up to allow the user to import their own mp3s, at least for main acts. Use the unsigned bands the natural way, at 12:30pm, in an empty field, while the people walk past them to sit in front of the main stage waiting for a known band to come on.
This fels like a portable game to me but at least more people will hopefully play it.
It's a good idea, but it's not for me.
I do like management sims like Roller Coaster Tycoon, but music management is not for me I think.
Seems also a better on fit on the Vita because of the touchscreen. But well, good that more people will enjoy it now due to expanding to the other PS platforms.
@Punished_Boss
It's win-win for everyone, nobody is losing out here.
Wow! This looks epic!
I'll defo try this out, its my favourite price!
@wagleton
I'd honestly rather pay £30 and play as much as I like. Now I've got to wait 24 hours before I can restock beer or sign a new band, unless I spend £10 worth of "BigFestars", the in-game currency. Blegh!
