Capping off what must be a particularly rough week for Xbox’s team in Japan, Warner Bros has announced that Batman: Arkham Knight will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive in the Land of the Rising Sun. There’s no word just yet on whether this will be timed, but the title has been removed completely from Microsoft’s website, suggesting potentially that the publisher got spooked by the system’s atrocious launch numbers.
This isn’t the first multiformat title to score a PS4 only release in the East, as Destiny will also deploy as an exclusive on Sony’s next-gen system. Unfortunately for fans of the Dark Knight, they’ll have to wait until 2nd July to get their grubby mitts on the game, where it will retail for ¥8,208 ($76). While this may be a decent coup for the PlayStation maker, however, it’s the likes of Dragon Quest: Heroes and Final Fantasy XV that are going to prove more important to the platform in the long run.

I'm sure WB thought long and hard about those 8 lost Japanese Xbox One sales before making the decision.
Xbox in Japan is getting same crappy treatment that Wii u gets from big third parties, its just business.
Seems like a pointless waste of money.
What is the point of Xbox in Japan?
They admit defeat, but then again Microsoft makes the money in Europe and the US.
the xbox bombed in japan, the 360 bombed in japan why did MS think it would be any different this time
@Not-Another-Ad I think at this point it's just Microsoft trying to not lose face and maybe hoping miracles will happen.
Consoles aren't selling great in Japan and the Japanese haven't exactly embraced xbox so it's probably a lost cause but at least they are still trying to crack that market
