Isn’t it a strange world that we live in? Up until a few years ago, the side-scrolling game The Great Giana Sisters was only memorable for its plagiarism of the Super Mario Bros series, but Black Forest Games managed to turn the franchise around with Kickstarted platformer, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams. Originally released on the PlayStation 3, we can now confirm that the title is set to hop, skip, and jump onto the PlayStation 4 – but details are scarce at the moment.
Our man on the ground – Thomas Whitehead from Nintendo Life – coaxed the information out of the studio’s Adrian Goersch at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. We can’t confirm anything, but we’re guessing that a large tankard of ale was involved. Additionally, we were informed that a sequel to the original is in the early stages of prototyping, and is targeting a late 2015 release – which could yet slip to early 2016.
Did you play the original version of Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams? Are you eager to get lost in La La Land for the first time? Dream up a comment in the space below.

I bought the other one on WiiU during an indie connection sale but I never finished. So I probably won't be getting this one.
Very well made platformer actually. I hope it's cross buy because I only got this on ps3 recently
I played it, but I thought it was the very definition of average. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything special. They're obviously talented developers so let's hope that the sequel has a bit more about it.
Nice. I love platformers and i like the series a tad.
@Johnnycide Agreed. I found it a bit floaty and it was a very repetitive boss battle where you had to summon spikes to kill it that bored me and I stopped playing. It was still a good thing to get with PS+.
