Capcom has put a bullet in the cranium of rumours regarding Resident Evil: Revelations 2’s release date. Speculation caused by a PlayStation 4 pre-order page on the PlayStation Store overnight prompted dozens of publications to report that the episodic survival horror spin-off will start in February, but the Japanese company has since stressed that this isn’t the case.
“The release date that you're seeing listed on the PlayStation Store is merely a placeholder date – these are required for digital pre-orders,” a spokesperson said. “The game will launch via weekly episodes in early 2015.” One thing that has been confirmed is the inclusion of the ‘Throwback Stage Pack’ for the release’s arcade-esque Raid mode, which will be an exclusive on PlayStation platforms.

I want to know what the differences are gonna be between the digital and the physical releases, why the retail version is more expensive
@DualWielding well with any luck the physical release will be all 'episodes' that's the only way I will part with my cash for this game
Only gettin this on disc.
Looks like a lot of Games are going the Episodic road.
@ReigningSemtex
I think its clear the physical disc will have all episodes the question is whether there'll be any extra content to justify the additional $10
