It’s been a disappointing sort of day, with copious bugs and glitches getting in the way of what we all love the most – playing games. While we’ve been on a bit of a downer this afternoon, though, this trailer has lifted our spirits no end. The clip – designed to celebrate PlayStation’s impending 20th Anniversary in Japan – includes footage of some of the brand’s greatest ever games.
From the likes of Tekken all the way through to The Last of Us Remastered, there’s something for everyone here. Some franchises, such as Hot Shots Golf and Gran Turismo, are given the full evolution treatment, which is heartwarming if you’ve grown up with these series over the years. We also love the montage of logos at the very end.
With the PlayStation Experience fast approaching, we’re expecting the platform holder to do something to commemorate this magnificent milestone – but we want to know what you’d like the company to do to recognise the occasion. Personally, we’ve been kicking around the idea of a PSone-themed PlayStation 4 in the office, but would love to hear your suggestions in the comments section.

Where was Crash? you can't have a vid like this without a bit of Crash.
@Jazzer94 I thought the same, to be honest...
And still no PS1 games on PS4
amazing celebration...
Punch kick block rappin good
Wonder what will fall from the PlayStation family tree next? A PlayStation 5 system, or the PlayStation 5 iOS/Android app.

Ah I still remember the day buying my Playstation which was the first console I ever bought with my own money, before that I was a kid and every console I got was either a birthday gift or Christmas gift.
I remember getting paid from my first job (stocker at Kmart) and going into Circuit City the day after payday and plunking down the cash on the counter and then being handed the PS. Such an awesome feeling.
Metal Gear Solid is still the best on a Sony console
Hard to believe it's been 20 years...I remember when I first got my PS1 as a Christmas 1999 present, along with 3 games.
Those 3 games were Animorphs: Shattered Reality, Spyro the Dragon, and Blaster Master: Blasting Again.
As the years go by the more I miss the PSone and especially 2 days. Especially when bullcrap like what has happened this year goes on and gamers still defend companies despite the fact they know things are f'ed up.
I remember getting a ps1 when I was about 15. My brother got one for Christmas but didn't like it so he said I could have it in exchange for my n64.
My brother is pretty dumb like that.
I'd also like to add that the music on that there trailer is awesome!
I loved linking two TV's a two PS1's and playing Doom co-op and deathmatch. I still hold the crown to this day. I also still own Doom 1,2 Ultimate Doom and Final Doom from 1995 on the original black PS1 disks. Great times! I love how they work on my PS3 but wish Sony would hurry up and let me play them on my PS4.
reading the comments , anyone still got their original playstation ?
@eliotgballade yep. Still got it.
WOW I was not expecting Vita to be present. I can't believe someone at Sony remembered it.
@eliotgballade no, I sadly traded mine for the Xbox. All I kept was my NES and its original box. Megadrive II, PS one, Xbox, Xbox 360 all long gone. Just ps4 and vita now. Loved all my consoles though...
I remember buying a PSone with a tiny detachable LCD screen and being amazed at how I could play Crash Bandicoot while others watched TV haha
That was after the PS2 launched... 2 years actually...lol I remember a PS2 cost a 1000....Anyway, I finally got mine after Kingdom Hearts came out, never thought I would love that game so much.
Finally bought my first HD TV with a PS3 in 2006, bluray was expensive and I got bored with the initial PS3 games and sold it around the time Uncharted came out.. ^^; Kinda regret it but I did make a profit (!) it was an early 60GB model with PS2 emulation etc.
But I'm back now since I got a PS4 a few weeks ago...even though its currently getting repaired. T.T ahem.. I hope sony releases more PS3 remasters for PS4 like, perhaps, Beyond Two Souls or those Kingdom Hearts collections.
@AyeHaley
i also had the ps one with the screen. i remember playing spyro on the living room floor every day of winter break. oh good times.
