“We heard you loud and clear,” enthuses one unaware Bungie employee in Game Informer’s behind-the-scenes Destiny: The Dark Below trailer, “you wanted more.” True, but we sort of didn’t expect to be paying $19.99/£19.99 for it – especially when the princely sum still only comprises three fresh story missions, a couple of strikes, a raid, and a handful of multiplayer maps.
To be fair to the developer, its trademark polish appears to be very much still present here, with the opening cinematic for the forthcoming expansion having already leaked. In it, you’ll be privy to a moving monologue from – we assume – quest giver Eris Morn, and some fancy images of what we suspect is the 'Dark Below’. Don’t worry if you’re not up to date with the title’s lore – we’re sure that there’ll be some Grimoire cards to help you out.

Swords confirmed! Seriously.
The Dark Below: Not at those gas prices! And how exactly did that US to UK conversion work? Did they just change signs and call it a day?
Like the game itself, too little content for the asking price.
@Punished_Boss_84 'too little content' is a matter of opinion. Destiny has months worth of content. Agree with you about those conversion prices tho- rip off Britain again.
@Picola Only if you like doing the same things over and over again, though, right? Which is fair enough if that's what people enjoy - not my cup of tea, however.
@Picola No it doesnt. Its justt some of their "content" takes months to get.
@Picola
"'too little content' is a matter of opinion."
What else would this be? Too little new content, by that I mean content that isn't what you've already done but under a new name and a few buffed up enemies.
Too high
Way too high a price for far too little new content. The main game only had ongoing playability if you had a taste for repeating the same stuff over and over again for the chance at new stuff....to make doing the same stuff over and over again a little different, or if the competitive multiplayer continues being fun for you...and I can see why the competitive element would continue being a draw, it is excellent. I just sucked at it. I recall reading the expansion will also herald the arrival of new items and stuff for everyone....so, more stuff to grind around collecting.
That price is shocking tho. I got Alien: Isolation on PS4 for only a little more than this expansion costs. I'm glad I got rid of Destiny.
I have a confession - I still have not finished the story as it is a bore and I may be trading this in on Friday for either Lbp or Dragon Age
@get2sammyb What you said times infinity. Destiny has no backbone & 3 drops of fun. sold it & I don't regret it.
...and this is why today I traded my copy of destiny back at the shop for gtaV.
$20 is ridiculous. Why do people still play this game?
@ZeD I finished Venus and then played about 20-25hrs of doing the same stuff over and over before I started the Mars missions, just to stretch out the paper thin story...got bored of the repetition and finished the story. Wasn't worth the wait.
@get2sammyb
agreed, i grew extremely tired of destiny, haven't touched it in about a month. don't miss it either, plenty of games that have more that just repeating the same stuff over and over.
@ZeD it's not even worth completing really, nothing changes......seriously nothing. if you feel like selling go ahead, LBP3 or Dragon Age are both great picks over destiny but i suggest far cry 4, it's extremely awesome.
Bored of Destiny? Try Warframe!
@Munkyknuts already have Far Cry 4
I might be getting Dragon Age but not 100% sure yet.
@BetweenTheTrees I have not heard good things about the end. Last time I played i landed on Venus
@Vorlon warframe has a colossal amount of content and continues to grow and evolve, its so totally different to how it was at the beginning. I often compare that game to destiny and wondered why i spent all that money on destiny. The tileset map system on warframe means you never play the same thing twice, even though you're just grinding. Unlike destiny.
@Jambo4170 I know, I play it every day.
Hope the sells of this dlc will be a fiasco.... so maybe Destiny 2 will be a proper full MMO game and not another sliced released....
@Bad-MuthaAdebis
$31?!! Wow. Seriously, how does the game succeed?!! Are people THAT hard up for online shooters? Ridiculous.
