Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition temporarily launched in Europe earlier this week, but the port must have been all out of gum, as it’s since been removed from the PlayStation 3 and Vita storefronts. In truth, this is likely just another example of SCEE’s incompetence – we’re still waiting for Costume Quest 2, by the way – as publisher Devolver Digital has attached a 13th January release date to the title in North America. It’ll get down and dirty in the Old World on the following day.
To be honest, we’re not entirely sure why the company’s holding this back until the New Year, as those who managed to purchase it earlier in the week claim that Abstraction Games has done a fabulous job with the port. Considering that every other game in existence is due out this month, though, we can only assume that this is a marketing move – after all, Duke ain’t quite the king that he used to be.

Looking forward to this on vita, had no idea it was in the works
I am buying this immediately after it's released.
Also, I have read the developer had problems getting it through certification so it got delayed. But that could have been why it didn't come out in the summer though.
Yea the January release date is probably all about marketing, like Sammy said.
Please make a review for Vita before i grab it on NA PSN.

Good job I bought it yesterday... takes me back to playing this on the Saturn in the 90s!
I'd like to see a proper new Duke Nukem game after the fiasco that was Forever.
So the PlayStation finally get a good Duke Nukem instead of the horrible DKF
