You wake up on an island, with no idea how you got there, or indeed who you are – this is the slightly predictable premise behind PlayStation 4 fantasy MMO Wander, which is planned to release in March next year. This Australian developed title's gameplay is anything but predictable, though, with a focus on discovery and exploration, as well as a distinct lack of traditional combat. If that doesn't make much sense to you, just take a look at the trailer below.
The game also features a wide range of playable characters, including an unidentified bird of prey, and – in what is arguably its biggest selling point – a walking sentient tree known as 'Oren'. However, for this Australian reporter, the most exciting thing about the clip is that it contains a genuine bonafide Aussie accent with not a hint of twee twang or puerile pandering to be found. Evidently, its Melbourne-based developer didn't hire the same voice cast as the one featured in the Dead Island games.
What do you make of Wander? Are you excited to see more combat-free games, or is high octane action the only way to go? Go for a nice relaxing walk in the comments section below.

I'm curious, and enjoyed hearing the Australian accent in a game. A real one that is.
