Thanksgiving is right around the corner for our American readers, but we suspect that the quality of December’s forthcoming PlayStation Plus update will determine just how thankful we’re all feeling come tomorrow morning. Silliness aside, Sony has unveiled this month’s free game refresh a little earlier than usual, presumably to capitalise on the enthusiasm of the holidays. And while we already knew about the PlayStation 4’s lineup weeks ago, we’ve decided to walk you through the full roster down below.
PlayStation 4
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition
Truly terrible title aside, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a universally appealing game. An updated version of NetherRealm’s popular superhero punch-up, this next-gen edition comes with all of the original’s DLC included – and a slight visual upgrade. The best part, though, is that this will finally allow you to solve a common playground dispute: who would win in a fight – Batman or Superman?
Cowboys answer to no man, which would probably explain why Secret Ponchos – a title that was originally confirmed to be part of the IGC a lifetime ago – has taken months to actually arrive. This isometric Spaghetti Western boasts an artstyle as slick as its twin-stick gunplay, and with a variety of gameplay modes to pick from, should keep you occupied long enough for dungarees to come back into fashion as well.
PlayStation 3
Not so much one game, but actually three, the Hitman HD Trilogy comprises upgraded editions of three of the more popular stealth sandboxes available on the PlayStation 2. Hitman: Blood Money is probably the highlight here, as you assume the role of slap head Agent 47, and attempt to off enemies in the most cunning ways imaginable. Just try not to think of that terrible 2007 film.
Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut
Hidetaka ‘Swery65’ Suehiro’s most famous work, Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut has become a bit of a cult classic over the years. Originally garnering attention as part of Giant Bomb’s uber-popular Endurance Run video series, the third-person survival horror is perhaps best known for its polarising critical reception and truly bemusing plot.
PlayStation Vita
No system is complete without a spot of tower defence, and Final Horizon is here to ensure that your handheld is well serviced in that department. The brainchild of UK studio Eiconic, this intergalactic affair promises to provide a prompter take on the popular genre, meaning that you’ll need to act faster than you can think – and pray that you’ve adopted the right tactics.
Titan Attacks – Cross-buy with PS4 and PS3
A modern take on an old classic, Titan Attacks is Space Invaders in everything but name. The twist here is that you’ll be able to augment your craft with upgrades as you progress, with the very best gear requiring you to save your cash. The only cross-buy compatible title in this month’s offering, you’ll be able to play this on your PS4, PS3, or Vita.
Alright, then, that’s everything outlined, so before we let you get back to your turkey preparation, we’d love to know what you’re looking forward to the most. Are you eager to sink your fists into Injustice: Gods Among Us, or is it Secret Ponchos that’s on your wishlist? Let us know in the comments section below.

Why do Pushsquare post PS Plus lineups twice every time Sony announces the games?
@XFsWorld 'Cos this is a more longer tail article, which we use throughout the month. The other one is just to get the news up as quick as possible.
Wow. Deadly Premonition. I may have to turn on the PS3. Hmm, no time. Its a shame. Will download it though.
@get2sammyb: I apologize if this sounds rude Sammy and I am not trying to be so I am sorry if it does sound rude but I have to ask why three articles about the same thing? You had an article about the free games yesterday, one this morning and now this one? It just strikes me as odd.
Actually quite looking forward to seeing what Secret Ponchos is like. Co-op sounds interesting.
Only interested in Hitman Trilogy.
@Tasuki Not rude. As above, these separate features get a lot of search traffic over the course of the month, whereas the others hit the homepage and disappear after a day.
I do appreciate it's a bit weird for people visiting every few hours, though, so maybe I need to rethink the approach here.
And this month stinks. I think Secret Ponchaos doesn't have single player so that's out, and everything else I own, or isn't for me to even put on the account, outside of the Vita games, which don't excite me very much.
@Tasuki be rude. There's nothing wrong with being rude. It's fun sometimes
Injustice: Gods Among Us & Secret Ponchos & Titan Attacks is what i am looking forward to Might try that X-CrapBox game Deadly Premonition for a laugh tho to + Will try Hitman(never really got in to Hitman games on the PS3, well the demos anyway) COOL games i think.
@THEundying27 Haha, that attitude will get you far in life.
@get2sammyb: Ah ok that makes sense. It just struck me as odd that's all.
@get2sammyb you'd be surprised. Lol
Sorry mate off topic, did someone notice nba 2k15 has a downgrade on character design, like the size of the body all the same, the hands are to skinny, the color of the skin tone a bit off, please pushsquare bring this up, is it just my opinion or is it 2k15 is a downgrade from 2k14 in character design, because i really loved this series but im dissapointed with what 2k15 bring to the table, once again sorry for the off topic session,
I'm amazed at how quiet this comment section is, this is the best lineup we've had in months. The first big title for the PS4's collection and another big one for the ps3. While I didn't mind seeing the indies before, Sony was showing a worrying trend of caring less about the quality of the games it was putting up.
@EvisceratorX The fact a non-indie game has been put up for the PS4 I think has stopped everyone's usual complaining (though I suspect Secret Ponchos will actually be the better game).
Most people don't post to say how happy they are, hence the skewed nature of comments sections and why it seems everyone generally hates everything
Now that's a decent month, especially for the Ps3 as Deadly Premonition is a surprisingly brilliant inclusion. Ps4 has some interesting titles again (haven't played either) but the Vita's choices are looking a little to weak for my tastes though.
41p per game, Bargain. Nice little selection this month.
Looking forward to improve my fighting skills with Injustice before Mortal Kombat X arrives
Pretty lame PS4 month but the Hitman HD trilogy might get me to spend a little more quality time with my PS3 before it's put out to pasture.
I'm not much of a superhero guy, but I'll be trying out Injustice. Fighting games aren't really my favorite, though I haven't heard anything bad about the game. Also looking forward to Hitman Trilogy!
