It’s taken what feels like an eternity, but Telltale Games has finally released the first trailer for its episodic Game of Thrones series. The title will premiere later this year on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 – there’s no word on the Vita yet – and will tell the story of House Forrester. “Caught up in the events of The War of the Five Kings, they’re placed in a precarious position, where members of the household must do everything that they can to prevent the house from meeting its doom,” community lead Laura Perusco explained on the PlayStation Blog.
The success of The Walking Dead has clearly given the company access to a lot of resources for this release. For starters, it’s convinced a number of the stars from the TV show – Peter Dinklage, Lena Heady, Natalie Dormer, and more – to reprise their roles for many of the characters. Moreover, while its trademark visual style is still very much still present here, the presentation appears much more detailed than what we’ve seen in its previous outings. Finally, the story will play out from five different points of view.
“Each is a member of House Forrester; either a direct family member, or a person in service to the House,” Perusco continued. “Scattered across Westeros and Essos, each will play their part in seeking to save House Forrester from destruction. Playing as five characters not only reflects the epic scope of Game of Thrones, but is also something that you’ll need to be mindful of as you play through the season. This is because the actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester.”
Are you hyped for this forthcoming season premiere? Has the story setup grabbed your attention? Are you disappointed by the absence of a Vita release right now? Watch the trailer and then sit on the Iron Throne in the comments section below.

kinda curious about this
Cast members from the TV show reprising their roles for the game has me super pumped...
Never seen Game of Thrones, really should do.
Game looks nice.
I hope there is parity, that's what matters to me.
My question is......do you have to have watched the show to get into this game? Or would I be totally lost?
With all thats happened in that show over the past 4 years they have to pick a 1 second clip of that poor poor man. It still hurts.
I dont know much about the Telltale games, these are less games and really more like interactive books, correct? Think Ill wait for the inevitable Shadow of Mordor type game - Brothers of Fire and Ice - when you can relive the lives of the Mountain and the Hound.
Night gathers and now my watch begins. Can't wait for this. Will there be a Valyrian steelbook edition?
I'm still going to buy it.
But I won't play it until I'm done with the books
The North Remembers.
@Godsire-
We'll probably not know until the game releases
@Godsire- The way Telltale are I can't see it being fans-only. If you've not read the books/seen the show certain nods and winks will likely mean nothing but, as with Wolf Among Us, I'm sure there's going to be a glossary of what and who everyone is discussing.
as long as they use this as the theme tune

@Not-Another-Ad I tried watching Game of Thrones before, but had to sadly drop it after S01E03, it was just too "big" and confusing for me lol.
@ToddlerNaruto It takes about a season to understand it all. After that, you're fine.
@LKing I'll try to survive thru S01, maybe I'll have better luck this time.
