While there are some negative connotations surrounding the word indie at the moment, teensy British studio Hello Games seems to have largely escaped criticism with the amazing looking No Man’s Sky. In fact, given the enthusiasm surrounding the release right now, it's hard to believe that it's being built by a team of ten or so people – it’s even secured top billing at Sony’s big PlayStation Experience event next month.
Still looking somewhat shocked by the studio’s E3 press conference appearance, boss Sean Murray has popped up in a brand new video revealing that we’ll be seeing new gameplay footage of the hotly anticipated PlayStation 4 title at the platform holder’s big shindig in Las Vegas – but that’s not all. Apparently, the Japanese giant’s also arranging something “different” and “crazy” that we honestly have no idea what it is.
The build up reminds us of that bonkers Cirque du Soleil showcase that Microsoft arranged to officially unveil Kinect – the one where the media was forced to wear glowing ponchos – so we’re anticipating something equally pretentious. Wouldn’t it be cool if the manufacturer skipped on the interpretive dance performance, though, and let attendees actually get some hands-on time with the release? Yeah, that would probably be a bit too cool, huh?

I'm hoping it will be something along the lines of P. T.

i like how you treat your prediction as confirmation for what sony will be showing off, as far as i'm aware sony haven't really wasted any conference time in the past few years with any sort of pop act and i doubt they will start now but i guess we'll just have to wait and see.
@viciousarcanum dear gods I hope you're right, I was a big 360 fan before, but it was right about THEN (Cirque nonsense), and I think there was another incident that involved Usher, where I decided... Yeah maybe I should give my ps3 a shot.
With the big PS4 titles released this past week - GTAV, FC4, LBP3, DA:I - is there anything else game wise coming out on PS4 in 2014 as interesting as the PSX in Vegas?
I guess it makes sense to have all the games come out before BF, but it also explains why Sony is having this in early Dec b/c there aren't any games left to talk about. I'm probably missing 1 or 2 but nothing comes to mind.
i fear for my other games, once no mans sky releases they'll be sadly pushed to the side forever!
