The bundles are very much, er, out of the bag: Sony’s doubling down on PlayStation 4 re-releases this coming Black Friday. Following on from a leaked Dell promotion earlier in the week, Meijer has now seemingly confirmed that the Japanese giant will be selling its next-gen console alongside Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us: Remastered for $399.99 later this month in the United States. However, it seemingly has something else up its sleeve.
While we’ve been laughed off a few times for mentioning this, the firm doesn’t appear to have forgotten family at this all-important time of the year – SingStar, in particular, is being marketed at a very specific demographic here in the UK right now – and so it’s preparing a second holiday hardware bundle: the Family Pack. According to a leaked advertisement, this will include LittleBigPlanet 3 and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, and, again, will cost you $399.99 in the USA.
It’s going to be interesting to see how these packages stack up against the cheaper Xbox One this Christmas, but with Sony’s sales through the roof around the globe, we’re starting to think that it’s not too fussed about marginally losing a couple of NPD reports – especially if it means that it’s not throwing away cash. And, let’s be honest here, when PS4 sales do eventually slow down, that first official drop to $299.99 is going to be huge.

Are these bundles for NA?
@Tasuki Yes, sorry - I've updated the article as that wasn't very clear.
@get2sammyb: Ok thanks I wasn't sure but I have become accustom to you reporting on bundles in Europe which makes sense cause you are based there. I just wanted to make sure before I told my friend about these deals who was looking for PS4 bundles for her son for Christmas.
New bundles just when I'm looking to buy a PS4. I kind of want to opt for TLOU but seeing as I already own it I'll probably just get LBP3.
That family bundle is the first time Ive considered buying a PS4. I want Lego Batman 3 and we're buying LBP3 on PS3, that would make PS4 about $300. Tempting.
Nice family bundle. Two of the better holiday games for free with a brand new console for the kids? Not a bad deal at all.
They need to bundle some vita's and pstv's aswel, if they can boost the sales for all platforms that's got to be good, right?
@danny2kd
Unfortunately not really much they could bundle with those systems that's new and interesting. Freedom Wars is a cool game, not a system seller though.
@Gamer83 I was thinking more along the lines of kids games like - Lego batman 3, LBP marvel edition, Minecraft, the Muppets game and adventure time. Those types of games, all new that will appeal to children
edit
I'm not sure if adventure time is out this year, I'm certain it is though
@Gamer83 for adults a freedom wars and tales of hearts R bundle maybe
Not interested in the family bundle, but I'll definitely ask my mom to buy me the GTA V & TLoU PS4 Bundle this Christmas.
That's assuming she can spare to spend $400 at once, and that she'd even let me own a GTA game. I do own GTA 4, but she doesn't know I have it.
@ToddlerNaruto TLOU is though scarier and has more gritty realistic violence
@Bad-MuthaAdebis While that's true, TLoU is just a zombie shooter game to my mom, which is why she won't have a problem with me owning/playing it.
@danny2kd
Actually, with LBP 3 coming out this year, an LBP Marvel Edition Vita bundle probably wouldn't be bad, could market both of them together, and LBP Vita is a pretty freaking awesome game.
@Gamer83 agreed! LBP vita has been my favourite yet, these are all good ideas but I honesty can't see Sony doing a thing
@ToddlerNaruto these are ment to be comical posts right?
@danny2kd Nope my life is really like that. Anyways, sorry for getting off-topic.
Those are actually two good games, but not enough to tempt me into getting a PS4 this holiday.
