The nights are drawing in, but we’re not letting that dampen our spirits here at Push Square towers. We’re currently right in the thick of the Christmas release season, so that means that, well... The majority of the team is too busy to pen a paragraph for WAYP. You’ll have to do make do with this truncated edition, then.

I’ve been meaning to dig out my guitars for months now, and Rocksmith 2014 on PS4 has given me the perfect excuse to do so. I can still remember some old riffs and bass lines, but I’ll be spending my weekend jamming to No Doubt at quarter speed – my fingers aren’t as nimble as they used to be.

I will be spending my weekend braving the dark, dank depths of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth in order to deliver an expertly written review directly to your eyeballs. In the unlikely event that I should finish that review before the end of the weekend, I will probably make an ill-fated attempt at inFAMOUS: First Light's Platinum Trophy.
Nicola Hayden, News Reporter
My sights are set solely on playing Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord this weekend for review, as it’s shaping up to be a monster sized venture. It means that my current addiction to Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut will need to go on a temporary hiatus, which is a shame – isn't it, Zach?

This weekend, I'll be continuing to grind all over the place in Sunset Overdrive, while also putting aside time to dip into the beta for The Crew. With the test running over the next couple of days, I'm hoping to see some sign of life in this open world racer, which so far has only looked like a disappointment.

I've been spending my time with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which I've been pleasantly surprised by. In addition, I plan on diving into the PS4 release of The Wolf Among Us, as I've only previously played it on the PC.

Considering the enthusiastic reception to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, I feel the most intrigued to check out a Call of Duty campaign in a long time, but I'll wait for a price drop before focusing on its single player component. It'd be interesting to return to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, because its campaign was so memorable, even after seven years.

I've played every Call of Duty ever since Treyarch's Finest Hour, so I had my worries that Advanced Warfare would fail to maintain my interest like last year's game, but new mechanics provided by the exosuits and solid multiplayer make Sledgehammer Games' first time handling this mega franchise a success in my eyes. Naturally, I'll be playing this for the weekend.

This weekend, I will be dying constantly to troll bombs and trapped chests while exploring my Mum's creepy dungeon. Not literally, of course – I will be enjoying the weird but wonderful The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on the PS4. I have played a couple of rounds already, and just can't put it down.
All that’s left for us to say is: what are you playing this weekend? As usual, post your responses in the space below.

I'm disappointed to hear about The Crew. After playing it at EGX, I thought the handling was pretty poor, but that was only after about 10 minutes, so didn't really get a feel for it. What's so disappointing about it @Bad-MuthaAdebis, @AlexStinton?
I just beat Bayonetta 2 last night. So I will be playing Smash 3DS, Stealth Inc 2 and possibly will continue my playthrough of Bayonetta 1 on Wii U. It does feel better at 60fps.
I am also very tempted on unwrapping Vanquish to continue the P* goodness.
@sinalefa Do it! That game's amazing.
Yell Dead Cell - Boss Survival - MGS2 = absolute perfection.
Oh and there's also Minecraft.
Not much for me this weekend. I will be on the couch watching Blizzcon today. If I do get time I will be playing some Wolf Among Us on PS4.
what I have been doing over the past few weeks, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution online Tournament with my mates
I'm trying to platinum the Infamous games, so that's all I've been playing recently. I'm gonna start a hard mode playthrough of Infamous 1 today, as well as looking for blast shards on my original save.
Dragon Age: Origins.
All the talk of the new one has made me want to give it another go around.
COD AW for the 1st time as soon as laundry is done,fifa15 and killzone Shadowfall.
@sinalefa I played Vanquish for a little bit then lost track of it...it was fun I need get back into it, it was fun.
I've kind of accepted defeat. I was trying to beat all the games as they came out so I could keep playing all the new ones but I've just been too busy and fallen behind.. I still need to beat sunset overdrive, and lords of the fallen. I'm just finishing up the cod advanced warfare campaign this weekend and I have a lot of friends playing it as well and we formed a clan so that's taking up a bunch of time as well. The multiplayer and coop modes are flat out awesome. I was so bored with call of duty I probably put about 10 hours into ghosts.. but this game has really brought me back into the world of twitch based multiplayer
so yeah trying to get as much as I can done before assassins creed unity and halo master chief on Tuesday... actually no I live in Canada and Tuesday is rememberance day so I'm guessing I won't get to buy them until Wednesday.
Then the following week is going to be super expensive for me. Gta 5, far cry 4 and dragon age ! 3 of my most anticipated games on one day. It's gamer heaven.
I gave Binding of Isaac a shot, it was fun but it's also quite punishing...not as good as I thought it might be.
I'm considering having another shot at a play through of Skyrim or jump into Metro 2033, I liked Last Light on the PS3...I'm at a bit of a loose end for what I feel like playing this weekend. I could maybe replay Dishonoured and try the DLC i never got to trying.
Just Platinumed inFamous First Light.
I haven't gotten far into TLOU story mode yet, so want to finish the story up before going back to Platinum the game.
CoD. I really like the new movement, it's the freshest experience in the franchise since Black Ops. Rabbit punching is fun. Dashing and leaping in a chaotic ballet of virtual violence makes old CoD feel suddenly obsolete.
There are a couple of niggles I hope they patch, like every time someone breathes into their mic you're informed of it in GIANT FONT near the centre of your screen.
But overall a great return to form after the disappointing Ghosts. I'm glad I picked it up.
Tried the Binding of Isaac & Escape Plan; both a bit meh - promptly deleted. Suffering from indie overdose. Gonna finish Metro Last Light and Valiant Hearts
@sinalefa - Vanquish and Binary Domain need a comprehensive sequel.
Trying to finish up Sly Cooper 4 and Tomb Raider before my PS+ runs out BF. They havent had anything I want lately so I'm not renewing. Online reuriement on PS4 makes me think no $30 dal this year
@get2sammyb It just feels wrong. The cars drive like you're not connected to the ground and what should feel exhilarating in this sort of game - such as jumping over stuff, is just ..........meh.
This is a change of outlook for me as I thought it was good when I played it EGX, but now I'm seriously concerned. The structure of the game is interesting but when the fundamentals are so wrong it's not looking positive.
@blah01 I tried Escape plan...I like the idea of it and the art style but I find the controls infuriating...I don't think I'll get through the game.
I just found out Alien: Isolation is only £24.99 on PS4 this weekend at Game here in the UK...I don't know how long that price will last but I'm certainly heading to my nearest store in the morning.
Daily Grind of PS Home
007: Quantum of Solace on 360
Earthworm Jim on WP7
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 on 360
@rjejr a sequel to Vanquish on the PS4 would just blow my mind.
I bought Tomb Raider in the sale. It's pretty good but no uncharted.
Binding of isaac and more binding of isaac.
Binding of isaac and more binding of isaac.
Escape Plan
inFamous Second Son
Gravity Rush
Having just finished Bayonetta, I have moved on to Bayonetta 2. Until I finish that game I won't be playing anything else. But here's the full spread of my current lineup...
Wii U: Bayonetta 2.....Stealth Inc 2
PS4: Lords of the Fallen..... CoD Advanced Warfare
Xbox One: Sunset Overdrive
3DS: Super Smash Bros
Vita: (nothing)
Wii: Metroid Other M
Cod, and Crew Beta, the latter is a bit iffy as there's tech probs all over the place, and the handling is a bit crap and the graphics are a bit last gen.
@get2sammyb I would think that with all the video game playing, your dexterity would only increase as you get older .
I'm going to be playing some WWE 2k14 and I just picked up Fallout 3 for 5 bucks. I played Fallout 1&2, and loved them. Looking forward to trying out 3.
I guess ill try to play CoD AW multiplayer, its been broken for me, the lag its just impossible to stand, and im not the only one, a couple of my friends are frustrated too
the ping its all over the place too, from 4 to 2 and 1 bars like in seconds...
After reading the positive comments, I went and tried Vanquish. I beat the first act.
The game is really fresh and unique, but also kinda hard. Your typical P* game, normal usually means hard, but it will be easier as I practice more. And I just love that setting that makes the font bigger if you are on a SDTV. I would have loved Mass Effect 2 to have something like that.
i'm playing the walking dead (sea 2), not really enjoying it as much as
the first season but it's pretty good.
also started a 3rd character in destiny, so more grinding.
i don't know why i do it to myself, it took me a month for the first two
to reach level 29.
i'm really like the warlock though, i wish i chose that one in the first place,
would have saved myself a lot of hours.
@sinalefa I played a bit of Vanquish and I agree, my first impression was that it's s hard game. I'll have to go back to it and try it again.
I'm still playing Red Faction: Guerrilla (PS3), I just liberated the Dust Sector.
Just Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on PS4 this weekend.
The Last of Us for me... Picked it up in August when I got my Ps4, started to play it, loved it, but then I got overwhelmed by all the other titles.... Now I am at beginning of Fall.... man, what an amazing game and game direction...
Happy that I finished Lords of The fallen, so I am ready to freshly start Dragon age Inquisition when it will be released.
Concerning the Crew, reading the comments of people who played it just confirms my impressions I got from gameplay videos.... I think it will stay on the shelf for me
I picked up Samurai Warriors 4 for PS4 after reading some excellent reviews on the game. It's my first Warriors game and so far I'm really enjoying it, still learning the ins and outs. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous.
Evolve Alpha was alright. Pretty much 'as advertised' if you know what I mean. Doubt I'll buy it though.
The Crew beta is extremely dull. The overriding thought it leaves me with is that I've played a better looking, handling, sounding and overall more entertaining version of this game before; Need For Speed Rivals.
Doritos, Mountain Dew, and Advanced Warfare. Still trying to figure out how to not get shot in the back so much....guess I'll make a sniper/camping class and hide along the outer perimeter...
I spent the weekend playing Chariot and smash bros on 3DS. I spent some time on the crew beta too. Chariot is a fantastic little game, single player or co-op. Smash bros is obviously amazing. The crew....... I enjoyed it, except for the driving.
