It’s been a holiday week in the United States, which means that the rest of the world has been watching on with jealousy. Fortunately, now that Saturday has finally arrived, we can all sit down for some good old fashioned gaming. And here to celebrate that fact is a weekly favourite on Push Square we like to affectionately label WAYP. You know the drill by now, so let’s get down to business.

I’m currently playing a game called ‘Try Not to Panic Ahead of PlayStation Experience’, so you’ll find me rocking in a corner trying to motivate myself through the last busy week of the year. Seriously, though, I bought a PlayStation TV, so I’ll be fiddling with that this weekend in order to bring you a review as soon as possible.

Eh? You want me to tell everyone what I'm playing this weekend? I can't believe that you've torn me away from Dragon Age: Inquisition for this. That's right, I'm playing BioWare's latest for the fourth weekend in a row, and to say that it's engrossing would be an understatement. Not even sunny old Los Santos can pull me away from my dear Cassandra – I mean, er, dragons and elves and stuff. Close the door on your way out, would you?

I had been exploring the land of Thedas for a little over 20 hours when one of my trusty companions turned to me with a wistful look in his eyes and said, "So, this is where it begins." It was then that I realised the gargantuan nature of the task that I had perhaps foolishly signed up for when I bought Dragon Age: Inquisition. Who needs weekends anyway?

With my PS4 taking a short trip to get its HDMI port replaced, I'm learning that there is more to gaming than leading an inquisition. While it has ruined my plans for the next few weeks, I'm going to battle the backlog and finally give Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag the time that it deserves.

This weekend, I'll be rejoicing the arrival of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth on the Nintendo 3DS. I've been waiting a long time for a new Persona RPG, and Persona Q provides a nice stop gap until Persona 5 makes an appearance. I'll also be finishing off the Platinum Trophy in Far Cry 4, with only a single, solitary trinket eluding me.

As I wait patiently for episode one of Telltale's Game of Thrones, I think that I want to replay Thomas Was Alone. I've beaten it several times already and love it, but it being released on the PS4 is the perfect excuse for me to tackle it again.

Thanksgiving in the US has unfortunately passed, but it was a glorious day with much food to be had and family to fellowship with. Since this has come to an end, it's time to get back to the grind for one last "hurrah!" as my university finals rapidly approach. Regardless, I'll set aside a moment to play a rented copy of Lords of the Fallen this weekend to see if it's worthy to snatch up later on. I'll also dabble in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer once again, and take a special trip through time to play the classic Crash Bandicoot. Why? You'll find out soon!

This weekend I'll be catching up on the big PS4 releases, Far Cry 4 and Grand Theft Auto V. I might also give the puzzle game Thomas Was Alone a go, but I can't see myself having enough time.
Which games will be accompanying your turkey sandwiches this weekend, then? Polish up the remaining cranberry sauce in the comments section below.

well my weekly NSUNS Revolution tournament of course but other than that I'm replaying Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on my XBOX, Final Fantasy VII on my PSVita and Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories on the PS3
GTAV-(PS4) Never got a chance to beat it in PS3, so I'll try to best it on PS4. No other game really interest me this year, I'm probably done for the year.
Hyrule Warriors and maybe some SSBU if the kids need a moving target to beat on.
Well I finally picked up Diablo III for the PS4 thanks in part to the flash sale. Do I will be playing that along with GTA V.
That is one fat mama! In the pic!
I tend to be all over the place on the weekends, as I can't seem to just sit down and play through any one game! Ha. So for me, Smash Bros will eat at the majority of my weekend, I may finally start on The Evil Within, but probably not before I chip away a little more at Bayonetta and Sunset Overdrive. and per usual for me as of late, I'll get in a quick game of Madden 15 and few rounds of Killer Instinct and Ultra Street Fighter IV...
Assassins creed unity. (PS4). It's really not a bad game. Got it on black Friday. Update took forever to download. About an hour. It still has some laggy frame rate issues. No crashes yet. Sequence 6 already.
Dragon Age 2 on PS3 so I can play Dragon Age Inquisition next week. Played Origins on PC and loved it, was prepared to hate DA2 and put it off forever, but it's pretty good so far. Also...25 hours in and I just now got to Act 2...am I doing something wrong?
...and still waiting for a Cyber Monday deal on 1-year PSN Plus cards. Are they not on sale this year? Arg.
GTA 5 for PS4, Borderlands 2 and Steamworld Dig for Vita.
My maybe's are Far Cry 4 trial and Tokyo Crash Mobs for 3DS- got it from Club Nintendo.
But Yep, enjoying games.
*Well I see Mighty Gunvolt on eShop for $3.99, so I'm gonna be playing that as well
Still playing FIFA on PS4, picked up Shadow of Modor in the Black Friday deals, but missed out on Diablo 3 due to Tesco website being down.
@kupo I'm one of the people that love DA2 for what it was. As such I didn't blow through the story, focusing instead on making sure I found every little thing to do in that (limited) world. I think my first playthrough was around 60 hours, which got me the vast majority of the trophies. I still need to go back and mop up for the plat... might do that after I get the plat for DA:I!
I'm really wanting to plat Shadow of Mordor before moving on to DA:I but honestly, some of these trophies are such a bore/grind. I'm so close though! Ugh! Decisions, decisions.
Definitely Binding of Isaac Rebirth. I can't seem to get enough of that game.
Still on Dragon Age Inquisition, haven't been able to complete the main story still. And I am senior at university at the same time... Even the weekends are not enough. I might have to just play multiplayer until Christmas...
@Xalbador40
Aqua Kitty DX
Resogun and Aqua Kitty!
Nothing cus I won't be home til tomorrow... But I picked up DA:I yesterday and that's gonna be on all week
More Dragon Age: Inquisition. 12 hours into it, and I still feel I have a long, long way to go. Absolutely loving it though
I'll be finishing up Pokemon Y and OR, as well as Lego Batman 3 Vita. I'll also be raising my high scores in Super Stardust Delta because a few of my PSN friends and I have a silent rivalry going on. I'm on top right now with 60 million in Arcade, 7 million in Planets, and 4 million in Endless.
far cry 4, it rules my existence
Uncharted 2. Let's just say I am really behind.
littlebigplanet 3, far cry 4 and gta 5
I got Disney Infinity as a Black Friday deal. I'll be trying that out this weekend.
GTA V
Tomb Raider (2013) on PS3, and Smash Bros. on Wii U.
I was planning on playing Thomas was Alone on PS4 but was disheartened to that the PS4 PS3 and Vita Version all share the same trophy list So im STILL trying to Plat() Transistor.
Listening to Disturbed Stupify while playing Freedom wars in music background in the livescreen. =P
@Enobmah_Shards I started Freedom Wars last night, and I'm totally addicted to it.
Playing Farcry 4 mostly. I will also get in some Dragon Age: Inquisition if I have time.
Second Son, SSB, Rune Factory 4, Torchlight 2, and Morrowind over the course of the weekend has been played, are planned to be played.
@get2sammyb !
@Gamer83 Pretty obvious lol, yo play with me! I forgot you were on my friends list..
PS4: Far Cry 4..........Dragon Age Inquisition
I'm hooked on Far Cry 4. This game is so much fun I just can't gets enough. There's so much to do in the world I think it's going to take me forever to beat this game. Started Dragon Age too, got my character created and played through the first bit of the game just to get a feel for it. So far, I like it.
Wii U: Super Smash Bros
Finally unlocked all the characters and now I'm working on clearing all 55 Event challenges, some of which unlock the final few stages I'm missing. Discovered the joy of creating stages too- made a fun little stage with barrels that blast you in sequence and knock out enemies across the platform... It's great. Really fun game this one is.
Xbox One: Halo Master Chief Collection
Never played Halo, so I'm savoring every bit of this one. Currently playing through the campaign of Halo CE, and while I was struggling at first on normal difficulty I think I'm finally getting the hang of things. Excellent game. I see why so many people swear by Halo- it really is everything it's cracked up to be.
3DS: Persona Q
I'm not too far in this game but so far I'm really loving it. They let you choose between the protagonist of Persona 3 and Persona 4- thankfully I've played a bit of Persona 4 Golden on Vita, so at least I had some frame of reference when starting the game. Shin Megami Tensei 4 was one of the hardest games I've played, so I decided to go ahead and play it on one of the easier modes just in case. I have learned not to underestimate the difficulty of Atlus RPG's.
Vita: Tales of Hearts R
Unfortunately I haven't had time to start this game yet but I plan on it tomorrow. Some tell me it's their favorite Tales game, others tell me it's by far the worst ever Tales game. Guess I'll have to see for myself.
I'm still playing Red Faction: Guerrilla (PS3), I just liberated the Free Fire Zone.
Bouncing between LBP3, shadow of mordor, CoD AW, smash bros wiiu, hyrule warriors, mario kart 8... so many D:
As with many others here, I'll be mainly plowing time into Dragon Age Inquisition. 16 hours in and think I've only actually completed 2-3 story quests due to getting sidetracked... Amazing game though! Promised the girlfriend she can push on with her playthrough of the Walking Dead later as well, at which point I'll be looking to make some headway in Pokemon OR
Seems like I'm finally getting bored of Destiny. As such, I've been spending hours in The Witcher 1 on PC. Never played the series but want to get the story before 3 comes out.
The gameplay and graphics are so outdated but I'm really starting to enjoy the characters. Can't wait to play 2.
Its all Dragon Age Inquisition from here until xmas for me. Sucker for fantasy rpgs, cant handle the fast pace of other games as much.
I've been at my parents house since Tuesday, and they don't have an hdtv, so i couldn't bring my ps4. So I only have my wii u. So lots of smash bros. I'll probably play some more ac unity when I get home tonight.
And am I the only one that's curious to what Joey is alluding to with Crash Bandicoot?
GTA V and Alien Isolation after picking it up in the sale. In between I reckon a bit of Rogue Legacy and maybe a little more Binding of Isaac (unlocked Azazel. Amazing!).
Still finding plenty of ways to die in Far Cry 4. So much to do. Love games that give you good bang for the buck.
Oh gaiz! check out my funny profile pic I took off the Vita on YouTube Poop!
I spent a good chunk of the weekend playing through Dragon Age Inquisition on PS4... Just finished my play through about an hour ago. I did a fair amount of side quests, but not nearly everything so my total playtime ended up at 56 hours.
I have to say one of the best games I've ever played. I was a bit worried I wasn't going to finish it about 20 hours in, I felt it was dragging somewhat and I was struggling, but after creating some decent gear and taking down a couple of dragons (not to mention how good the story becomes as it opens up) I was hooked.
Hope it comes to EA Access sometime as I'll definitely be up for playing through it again making different choices etc. That ending was great, keep watching after the credits finish too
I've got GTA V on PS4 now to carry on with and AC Unity to start (no rush on that though, got it for cheap and figured I'd wait till it was fully patched up). Also still playing through Sunset Overdrive on my X1 so plenty of games still!
Earthworm Jim HD on Windows Phone
007: Quantum of Solace on 360
PlayStation Home on PS3 (close to 50 days played)
Plants vs. Zombies on PS3
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 on 360
Rayman Origins on 360
Shenmue II on Xbox
Unity. I finished rogue last weekend. I try to only play one game at a time. I still need to get to smash and dragon age they're still sitting, as well as play online on cod aw. Going to be busy til witcher 3
@XFsWorld
I don't play a ton of games online, honestly. I actually haven't ever bothered with GTA online, I had the game on PS3 and now PS4 and never even created an online character. GTA, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, those are games that all have multiplayer but I just don't bother with them. Got those games for the singleplayer. If you have Advanced Warfare or Killzone though, I do like to play FPS online even if I'm not very good.
Smash bros and getting 100% on Chariot. The hidden level is so hard, love it.
Hang on, the weekends over, I guess I will still be doing Chariot over the week.
@seeafish The Witcher 1 is one of my favorite games ever, despite the really rough edges. Liked it better than TW2! My only advice is to NOT use cloud saves in TW2 if you play it on Steam. I completely lost all of my 75% done, 70+ hour save files and still haven't beaten the final Act, all because of the cloud saves. It even deleted my local save files. Aaarrggg.
@kupo DAAAAMN! Thanks for the heads up. Might have to make a note to back my saves from time to time!
But yeah, half-way through Chapter 2 now and it's getting more interesting by the minute. However, my quest list is SOOO long I don't even know what I need to do anymore. Proof that games have been dumbed down, as 10 years ago I wouldn't even need a quest list to keep track of the story haha.
