After the rather large overhaul that was system update v2.00, PlayStation 4 users rejoiced for the fact that a meaningful update had finally arrived on Sony's sleek black box.
Since v2.00's deployment, the Japanese giant has treated us to another firmware release in the form of system update v2.01, which attempted to fix some pesky issues with the machine's Rest Mode. And now, not even a week later, Sony's announced that a whole new download is on the way.
But we wouldn't get your hopes up for anything exciting this time around. According to the brand's Twitter account, system software update v2.02 will "improve system software stability during use of some features, games, and apps". Ah, that old chestnut.
With v2.02 going live "soon", it shouldn't be long before your console's stability reaches a whole new level. Did v2.00 cause you any problems? Are you hoping that this new file will fix any recurring issues? Show Sony's technicians your gratitude in the comments section below.

I had a trophy glitch where they weren't synching with my profile on the console. That's been mostly fixed with 2.01 but still seems to not be perfect. Hopefully 2.02 fixes things completely. All these updates lately don't bother me since PS4 moves about one billion times faster than PS3 ever did. If it's something that improves the console's performance further, bring it on.
I've updated to 2.00 and even let the ps4 stay on until the controller turns off and the system goes into auto rest mode. I fall asleep, I wake up and the Orange light is on. Turns back on every time. No issues. Ever.
Mine's a sleek white box actually. Soon to have a skinless Jokers face ala Death Of the Family decal with a Harley/Batman controller=) If the stability is to do with PSN then finally eh?

2.00 didn't have any issues for me. But since 2.01 I can't turn my ps4 on and have to unplug it and plug it back in again. Then it powers up and tells me that it wasn't switched off properly the last time and my data might be corrupted. Was going to take it back before the warranty runs out.
@the_-don1 I've heard someone else say this and rebuilding the database fixed it. Also never unplug it while it's on, try holding the button for around 10-15 seconds or maybe a little longer.
The only issue I have is that pressing the PS button when a trophy unlocks does nothing 9 out of 10 times.
I got hit with the rest mode issue once...had to unplug the PS4 at the wall as nothing else would work. Since update 2.01 it seems to be working just fine again.
@drpepperdude100 Holding the power button in didn't do anything for mine when it locked up/shut down. Sadly there have been various PS4 users that were left with no other option but to unplug. Mine was sorted by 2.01 tho.
@joseth418 The joker decor sounds awesome Id love to see how that looks when it's done.
@Crimson_Ridley Push it once and wait, multiple presses screw it up.
@Munkyknuts Yeah if it's because of the reset mode issue, but if it freezes up while it's on the button should work though. But I have never had the rest mode issue before or after 2.01, but I have had a game freeze the whole console up.
@Gamer83 had it twice. I needed to open the game that was glitching the list. Go through your library opening and closing games. Hope it helps.
it's live now by the way, I just downloaded it
@Munkyknuts Haven't ordered it yet, will do in a week & the decals will have to come from the US (I'm from down under) & be made (they will make a custom decal for your console & controller of ANYTHING you want...maybe not hardcore porn lol) But will be sure to post it in the comments or something when I get it done =)
Just now csme through for me. Its 5:10am here.. Im downloading it now.
@drpepperdude100 I have updated to 2.02 now and that seems to have fingers crossed!!
stability is always good but the usb is tripping if I but my music usb use for a bit than plug in controller charger & the ps4 can't tell the difference
