Fat Princess, the rotund royal from the PlayStation 3 game of the same name, is a bit of a strange PlayStation mascot. The character has appeared in titles such as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, but never really appealed in her own games. Fat Princess Adventures, a casual couch co-op RPG for the PlayStation 4, looks set to give the meaty monarch the title that she finally deserves, then, ditching competitive action for some light-hearted looting.
The core tenets of the original remain in place: you'll be doffing different caps to change your class, and rescuing the titular heroine as you progress - but instead your aim will be to bring down a witch named the Bitter Queen. To do this, you'll be roaming the realm of Great Bitten in search of gear, experience points, and, of course, cake, in what's looking like a classic dungeon crawler with a cutesy art style. There's no word on a date for this just yet, but developer Fun Bits promises that more will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Do you reckon that this is a sweet reveal? Chomp or chunder in the comments section below.

Strangely I never played a Fat Princess game...
@ferrers405 Haha, perhaps not so strange...
You're not missing much. The PS3 one was alright, but the competitive multiplayer format didn't really work. I believe the PSP version was just a port of that.
I might give it a try sometime =]
Original premise of the series seems way more fun to me.
Looks like Fat Princess mixed with Magika. Wasn't there a F2P Fat Princess game coming too or was this it?
I have to say that I loved the ps3 version, and I can't wait for this. All of the news for 2015 is amazing, and this is just the icing on the cake
@get2sammyb Sir...You are insane.
Fat princess is loads of fun to this day.
