As promised, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's online mode received its debut trailer at The Game Awards today. The clip itself is something to behold, showing off what appears to be a suitably intense and exciting multiplayer extravaganza in which you and your friends infiltrate hostile bases together.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Kojima Production without some of his patented silliness, so you'll be glad to hear that enemy soldiers can now be distracted with adorable toy dogs. Oh, you can also take a selfie with a puppy. In other words, we're looking at a very serious contender for the best game ever made.
What do you make of this brief glimpse at the new Metal Gear Online? Are you excited to do some team-based stealth? Let us know in the comments section below.

I thought this was a great trailer, gameplay is always good!
Yeah id love the gameplay to actually turn out like that! Realistically though, there will be camping ghost snipers obsessed with k/d ratio, while other people running in to get the objective getting shot. Pretty much like everything else. I hope it has some interesting game modes, can't wait for this!
Please watch the language -Tasuki-
Not gonna lie, I was expecting David Hayter when they said um the voice of Snake. Yeah.
Yes! Now I can't wait for The Phantom Pain!
@Jambo4170 Lol you said it
I really like how this was done. Superb work. I just hope the gameplay stays stealth oriented and dissolve into a COD run and gun fest.
A man can hope.
Good trailer, I do like stealth, sniping is satisfying, stabbing is fun, shooting is just okay, however, I always love the chance to cause lots of mayhem with big explosions. This wasn't entirely stealthy and its not that realistic to expect it to be with humans all looking out to kill one another. Definitely worth a pop.
I love it. They'll balance it so that nothing will be invincible, @Jambo4170, don't worry. Looks great so far
