He’s certainly not for everyone, but our face lit up when David Jaffe took to the stage during Sony’s big PlayStation Experience keynote last week. Having covered several of the industry veteran’s titles over the years, we know that it’s always fun reporting on the God of War maker’s games. And with Drawn to Death, a brand new PlayStation 4 exclusive arena shooter, now announced, the hilarity is starting early.
In classic fashion, the outspoken executive has uploaded a video of the aforementioned title’s lead character, swiping through some comments regarding the game – and providing a hashtag response to them all. It’s rude, unprofessional, and unnecessarily hostile – but that’s what we love about the Twisted Metal creator. After all, only Jaffe could appear at a press conference, and start dropping F-bombs within seconds.

Can't say I have any interest in this myself. Don't really like the art style, setting or the fact that it's a 4 player shooter but I'm sure it will appeal to many others.
Mr Jaffe shouldn't be so sensitive to the fact that his game won't appeal to everyone...
lol What a badass he thinks he is.
Sucks. Nice concept though, but, it sucks.
People are horrible on the Internet, though. Like, this isn't the right response at all, but some of those comments are so needlessly snarky. It must be infuriating to read stuff like that about something you've worked hard on.
The art style looks original but not my cup of tea. And the type of game is definitely not my cup of tea.
I actually had more fun reading some of those comments than Jaffe's, er, Jonny's reply.
I honestly think this could be fun. If nothing else at least it looks like he's trying to do something different. Thing is, the guy is so divisive that I think a lot of people are going to hate on this purely because it's Jaffe, without actually really giving the game itself much of a chance.
Personally I'm not really sure how I feel about Jaffe myself, the guy's ego is just insane, but at the same time I'm not going to let that stop me giving it a go if the game ends up looking half decent!
I feel for developers these days, having to put up with all the entitled whining from cry babies on the internet that have no intention of even buying their games. Just look at whats happened with Tekken 7 & the producer there removing a new character (lucky Chloe) from the NA version of the game due to people whining on the internet. It makes a change seeing a developer flipping the bird at the haters. Plus, I've enjoyed a lot of Jaffe's work so theres a fat chance i'll be pouting over this video (I actually retweeted it when Jaffe posted it last night)
@MadchesterManc
Question is, did he remove her because of that or was she never intended for NA audiences? It would be dumb if it was the former, as that would prove a few jerks in a forum can have their way.
Anyway, she should be DLC for people who want to play as her.
Ha I like that lol and this game.
You go Jaffe
@sinalefa She was one of several new characters set for Tekken 7, which seems to have been lost on those complaining about her. As far as I've gathered, She was intended for all regions apparently. Now though - only EU, Asia etc will get Chloe & NA will get their own exclusive character. There's a story for it on IGN and you can probably catch some of Katsuhiro Harada's original tweets on Twitter regarding the backlash still.
I won't be playing this game, but the concept art does look nice.
Good on Jaffe, it's about time some of those idiots were put in their place for dismissing a game out of hand after seeing one trailer but if they can give it then I'm sure they can take it too...maybe.
The game is of no interest to me. At all. And I don't like the art style either. Also, Jaffe is an overrated, arrogant douche.
No thanks.
This video is private.
I think the game looks interesting, but they set it up as the close out for a 2 1/2 hour long show that opened with Uncharted 4. Unless Jaffe was showing off a really good looking version of The Last Gaurdian or a true FF7 remake in a moderngraphics engine anything he did was going to fall short. And presenting a game that has the art style of a free web browser game - or whereever Stickman originated - well it's not exactly showing off the impressive power of the PS4. The Wii had Madworld years ago and that looked almost as good.
I think if they let Jaffe open the show w/ this it wouldn't be so hatred inducing. Maybe not loved, but not so hated either. Timing is everything.
So, anybody got a functioning link to that vid?
It may be discouraging to read comments from unimpressed gamers, but that's no reason to respond in such a childish manner. Wasn't interested before, but now I definitely don't want this game.
Im buying this when it comes out regardless
