‘Twas the week before Christmas and all around the web, nary a video game manufacturer did raise its sleepy head. Well, apart from Sony, of course, as it’s still got a bevy of releases lined up for the PlayStation Store this Tuesday. We’re actually not sure whether the European PlayStation Store will be updating on Christmas Eve, but most of these titles are already available in the Old World. Let’s get to business, shall we?
Pick of the Week: Switch Galaxy Ultra
If you’ve been itching for a new WipEout on the PlayStation 4, then Switch Galaxy Ultra may fit the bill if you squint. Developed by British indie Atomicom, this enhanced PlayStation Mobile port sees you shepherding a ship moving at the speed of sound, switching lanes in order to avoid oncoming hazards in PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap-esque style.
There’s a storyline to complement the space age action, complete with a comic book introduction by ex-Studio Liverpool illustrator Darren Douglas. It’s the slick, intergalactic action that’ll keep you engaged, though – with Vita cross-buy support ensuring that you’ll be able to test your reflexes wherever you go.
