It was only a matter of time before the PlayStation 4 obtained admission into the Tojo Clan. Ahead of the release of prequel Yakuza Zero next year, Sony has prepared four tattooed consoles, which should prove the company's allegiance to the current family chairman. Available in both white and black, the designs include the signature ink of protagonists Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.
They’ll deploy alongside the title on 12th March, and will set you back ¥41,980 ($349). There’ll be an option to add a copy of the game on top for ¥6,480 ($53). The title’s also due out on the PlayStation 3, of course, but Sony will be banking on this – alongside other high-profile releases like Bloodborne – to give its next-gen system some much needed momentum in Japan next year.
Sadly, there’s no word on a Western release for this game just yet, but seeing as Yakuza 5 is finally making the arduous journey overseas, there’s some hope that this may eventually follow in its footsteps.
