One game that was conspicuous in its absence before Christmas last year was Journey. Sony officially announced the PlayStation 4 port at GamesCom in August, which put an end to a series of hushed chirps regarding the re-release. However, while its contemporary The Unfinished Swan came and went in late October, there was no mention of thatgamecompany's seminal sand stomping pilgrimage.
However, writing on Twitter, the developer has confirmed that Tricky Pixels – the studio behind the conversion – is "not too far off" finishing the project. We suspect that, with all of its online interactions, this is a much more difficult title to port, and, to be honest, given the significance of the original, we'd rather that it took its time. I've been patiently waiting for this to replay on my PS4, I've no doubt it'll be just as magical the 2nd time.
Thatgamecompany said that the vita port would be awesome as seen in n4g articles.
I bought this on ps3 but never finished it. If it's free cross platform to those that already bought it on ps3 I'd love to complete....."ahem," my journey!......I'll see myself out.
What a game! Can't wait to play it again, to be honest.
Beautiful game that treads close to being the best argument for games being a valid art form rather than just entertainment. I'll gladly play it again on PS4.
I just heard it is coming to vita!?! Right?!
Never played this, so looking forward to the ps4 port... Is it really as good as people say?
@Picola actually yes it is. I'm dying to replay this on PS4
