Although the illustrious Ed Boon previously teased that new fighters for Mortal Kombat X would be revealed on 29th January, it seems that NetherRealm Studios couldn't wait, as an exclusive IGN video has confirmed that Reptile will be joining the roster.
After a hilarious, short spat between Kung Lao and his scaly adversary, we get a look at his more fitting redesign with a bone-laden vest. Several of his iconic moves are making a komeback as well, such as being able to spit acid on the ground and briefly turn invisible. After the battle, it concludes with a predictably gory Fatality that we recommend sticking around for – or not, if melted faces aren't your thing.
What do you think of Reptile? Will you be sure to play as him in Mortal Kombat X, or does this green fighter's appearance burn your eyes? Slither down to the comments section below to let us know your thoughts.

Is it just me, or does his X-Ray seem WAY more violent and disgusting than his fatality? I mean, the fatality is pretty gross, but my god that X-Ray.
I really like Reptile's design in this!
Awesome, probably my fave MK character. Doesn't quite have the same level of humour as scorpy or sub z but always my go to guy. And now we still have to wait 3 more months
While we are talking about fav characters im going to throw it out there that Nightwolf is my main man. Love MK. MK Trilogy is the only game in my life that my obsession with it was a little unhealthy.
Sub-Zero 2 and Noob Saibot for me.
Dat lizard tongue!
Yes! I love Reptile. One of my favorite characters. I've been impressed with this game so far. Although I'm hoping I can get MK9 for PS3 at some point. Played it on 360 and I loved it, but I didn't get very far.
@sajoey It's definetly more gory, especially since it's a matter of his skull getting cracked over acid on his face. MC will get even more gory in the next-gen!
I'm jus grateful my two characters are in Kung Loa & Kano MY N!@@&$
