Ah, the weekend – that pleasant period of the week where we get to hang up our work clothes, and sit around playing games in our pants. Oh, and when we say 'pants', we mean the British definition of the word, and not the oddball American meaning. Is that enough padding for this opening paragraph? Yeah, looks good – let's get down to business, shall we?

I'll be spending my entire weekend inflicting pain upon my undead enemies with a cricket bat that's got a flamethrower attached. Dying Light sure has its problems, but its core gameplay loop is anything but rotten as far as I'm concerned. You just can't beat smacking zombies over the head, can you?

I know this is Push Square, and I know Sammy will likely see me executed for this, but I'll be tucking into Pokémon Alpha Sapphire this weekend. With the session already in full swing, I'm excited to share that I found a shiny Pinsir. However, its nature is terrible, and therefore its statistics are rubbish. Maybe if I break my 3DS over my knee, our esteemed editor will forgive my betrayal – I'm certainly close to doing so. [Close the door on your way out – Ed]

Grim Fandango or Life Is Strange? Life Is Strange or Grim Fandango? Life is so hard when you can only buy one of the two titles that you've been yearning for. I might just settle the internal argument once and for all and play some Resident Evil HD instead.

This weekend, I'll be parkouring over, around, and possibly under zombies, while playing Dying Light. I'm only a few hours in, but so far it seems like the good part of Techland were on development duties, as I'm having a great time cracking skulls by day and running for my life at night.
Graham Banas, Reviewer
I'm probably not going to have a ton of time for gaming this weekend, but I think I can squeeze in just a bit of the premiere episode of Life Is Strange, no? Okay, I'm definitely going to do that.

I enjoyed DriveClub during its launch period in October 2014, but I've neglected it recently. I've barely glimpsed the patch for the impressively stormy weather, or the new Lake Shoji track, so I'll read Push Square's Why You Shouldn't Write Off PS4 Racer DriveClub opinion piece, and then I'll take a Sunday road trip courtesy of Evolution Studios.
Will you be staying up all night long in Dying Light this weekend, or remembering your youth in Life Is Strange? Perhaps you've got a different package entirely in mind? Run for your life in the comments section below.

I'll be playing Destiny and Atelier: Escha and Logy again this weekend. Those two games take up a lot of time.

I'll try Life is Strange, looks good.
Still enjoying some classics on GameCube Timespliters, Mario Sunshine and p vs z gw on ps4
@ferrers405 Interested to hear your thoughts. I bought it last night and can't wait to play it.
@get2sammyb I couldn't play yet too, but tomorrow I will.
Ill be Journeying ever closer to the 9th underworld in year 2 of Grim Fandango Remastered. I cant get enough of the dialog.
@crazykcarter Which team will you be supporting?
For me I'll be trying g to to finish the platinum on Dust finally & tomorrow morning I set aside time for Life is Strange ep 1.
@crazykcarter I do, but I'm afraid I'm now your arch-rival. You have an ally in @ShogunRok, however.
Killzone shadowfall!
@crazykcarter tough year for Liverpool. Sorry about Gerrard.
I am STILL playing Dead Space 3 (PS3), I just completed Chapter 13: Reach for the Sky.
@crazykcarter I just got tix for NYC FC & LA this spring also I can see Gerrard & Lampard play. Living in the states it's hard to see good football. My team is Bayern but I get to watch more BPL matches then Bayern unless it is Champions League time.
Been playing Justice: Gods among us. Pretty cool game. Loved the main story. Unfortunately, though, when it comes to fighting games, the only gamestyle that I enjoy is Tekken's, which seriously can't come out soon enough.
Destiny of Spirits continues to amaze me. It became incredibly difficult, but not to the point that you can't wait unless you pay real money. I'm loving that game more and more.
@crazykcarter Whey, LFC supporters unite. Hope you enjoyed the game this afternoon!
Playing through Final Fantasy VIII this weekend, mostly. At some point I'll tackle the challenges in Batman Arkham Asylum (beat it last night) and continue my adventure in the Crusades with Assassin's Creed.
Halo: Combat Evolved on Xbox
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 on PS3
"Aha! I Got It!" Escape Game on WiiWare
Just finished The Swapper on Vita, great little game, been catching up with Prototype 2 (thanks PS+ as ever) and quite enjoying it.
Its a Nintendo weekend for me.
3DS-Fantasy Life and Gunman Clive 2
Wii U- Metroid Prime Trilogy for the first time ever.
Gtav
@ToddlerNaruto "Soldiers, you've got to soldier on"
I've been playing Dying Light all day lol, had a friend jump in for couple of hours which was great fun too! 😋
GTA5. I have to force myself to get back to the main story after dumping time playing tennis and golf.
@Tasuki
They made a sequel to Gunman Clive? Guess that's what I'll be playing this weekend as well.
@ryanorly Yep it came out Thursday.
I've set myself a goal of completing all 3 Mass Effect and Uncharted by the end of this year. Yet I've ended up playing Baldur's Gate the past few days.
Go for the eyes Boo!
@3Above Heh, I've still got 6 chapters left to trudge thru.
I'm having my doubts about beating DS3 by Sunday night.
Still playing RE1:HD on PS4. Was a bit harsh about the game a few days back but it's sucked me in again (still don't like only 6 slots for Chris & the Zombies coming back to life again which is f-in annoying) Oh well & doing a bit of DriveClub but that is getting to hard for me Excellent Game tho
Far Cry 4 is pretty okay. I'm noticing a Star Wars theme in the special weapons at least, so that's endearing. Storm, Trooper, Rebel, HS-77 (instead of DL-44, Han Solo's gun), etc. Just makes me wish there were still SW clones of every popular game (Dark Forces was billed as SW Doom; Galactic Battlegrounds was re-sprite Age of Empires II; etc.!) cause I'd love to have a GTA/WD/SD game where you're a jedi or stormtrooper or whatever. Now I need to play Battlefront II or maybe Force Commander if I can get it working. Gimme a remake of FC, Disney!
Life is strange - timed trial, Walking Dead Season 1, Shadow Warrior, DriveClub, TLOU multiplayer, Battle Islands, maybe Plants vs Zombies also dabbling in a whole bunch of PSN games like Titan Attacks/Nidhogg & Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition on PS Vita. Also bagged me a PSTV so I'll be trying that out. As always Football Manager 2015.
I'm playing mostly Persona Q on my 3DS. I do squeeze some sessions of Gunman Clive 2 and I also plan to continue the story on Spec Ops: The Line on PS3.
I will be finishing up assassins creed unity, securing the platinum before i move on to dying light
I am still grinding away at Assassin's Creed 4, which I am enjoying it more the longer I play it, however, I think it is a little too long though and there are too many filler missions and TAIL quests. I am looking forward to getting into Unity and Far Cry 4 more after I beat Black Flag, but until then I will keep them shelved. I don't like to play more than two games at a time.
I'm playing the Dimps Dragon Ball games, getting ready for XenoVerse
Completed Assassins Creed: Black Flag, about three hours into Unity. Also have Captain Toad on the go as well.
Finished First Light and put a little time into Second Son yesterday morning. Also picked up Life Is Strange but haven't had a chance to get stuck in as I was visiting friends in Bath last night.
This weekend consisted of trying to get through backlog - Alice madness returns I finished and traded in this Friday. With the money I got, I tried not to use it - I failed admirably. Then yesterday and today consisted of persona 4 arena - I refuse to even start ultimax until I finish story mode!
I caught the Shinji Mikami fever from my roommate and picked up Resident Evil HD and Evil Within...on PC. The fact that the PS4 can't run either of these games, or many others, at 60 FPS, 1080p (or rather that the developers in general don't design games to) is a big, big turn off. I've had enough! Here's hoping this years big 1st party games can deliver on that front.
