Contrast lacked polish in crucial areas, but the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 puzzle platformer certainly had a sense of style that we could get behind. We're intrigued to see what indie outfit Compulsion Games gets up to next, then, and judging by a blog post on its website, it's almost ready to talk about it.
"It's not a sequel to Contrast," the Canadian company teased. "We haven't ruled out doing one in the future, but after so long working on Contrast, we wanted to make something fresh; something new and exciting. It involves masks, drugs, and memory loss – but we swear that it's not a swinger's party." To be honest, the studio already had us at masks.
While it promises that more will be revealed over the coming months, it did deploy a couple of images to prove that it's not "pulling your leg". These show a vaguely Victorian street with rainbow roads, and a creepy lady with beehive hair and a BioShock-esque opera mask. Consider our attention piqued? You betcha.

Interesting!
@get2sammyb sounds interesting but I hope they have learned from the control issues of contrast
Please bring to vita!!!!
I'll definitely grab whatever it is they're up to. Contrast was great on paper, it was just kind of dull to play after a few hours. I'm sure they've learned from that. You can really tell they've got great ideas, and hopefully they'll have more of a budget this time around and will take their time (I've always felt like Contrast was rushed for launch).
"It involves masks, drugs, and memory loss" Sounds like my Weekends
As much as Contrast may have disappointed me, I loved the Art and Music enough that I'm definitely in for their next game
