While we eagerly await information on the PlayStation 4's first Gran Turismo game, developer Polyphony Digital is still cranking out updates for its last-gen predecessor. Announced on the PlayStation Blog earlier today – and available to download right now – a new Gran Turismo 6 update sees the popular B-Spec mode finally added to the simulation racer.
For those out of the loop, this allows you to assign career events to AI drivers, meaning that endurances races don't have to be quite as gruelling – unless you want them to be. The latest update – numbered v1.16 for those keeping track – also incorporates the Mid-Field Raceway circuit from Gran Turismo 2, complete with time of day and weather options.
Finally, there's a new vehicle in the form of the GT Vision Mini Clubman, which has been custom designed for the first-party release. This is all in addition to the usual roster of tweaks and bug fixes. Of course, those of you reading this will probably be pondering where the property's inevitable PS4 entry has got to. Creator Kazunori Yamauchi says that it's on the way.

B-spec is amazing, can't wait for this. Way glad to hear they're still thinking about 6, this'll hold me over just fine until 7. GT releases are always awe inspiringly pretty so it's worth almost any wait (gap between 4 and 5)
Wow! after 1,5 year they added a feature that was allready introduced in GT4! Thats amazing you guys. And also the reason I didnt buy GT6 and am not waiting for 7.
Won a few races today with the B-Spec mode but some were still impossible even with the faster cars i got Brilliant game tho(& i am still amazed at the graphics to)
Haven't played any of the PS3 Gran Turismos yet. The only game in the series I've played was 3 a-spec and I loved it. I want to check this out at some point but I also wonder if 5 was any good.
