Do you remember earlier in the year when Sony seemingly teased Metal Gear Rising 2 for the PlayStation 4? Hideo Kojima instantly debunked the rumours, but after years of ruses, we didn't believe him. It turns out that he was telling the truth, though, as Platinum Games has now commented on the speculation, too.
Apparently, the giant '2' that was squeezed into the Japanese giant's Taipei Game Show stream was taken from a piece of artwork that the studio created to celebrate the second anniversary of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. For some reason, the PlayStation maker decided to use the numeral for its broadcast – and the rest is history.
Of course, while this is all disappointing news, the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the 'teaser' may have convinced Konami to greenlight a sequel. While the release had its shortcomings, we were big fans of the original on the PlayStation 3 – and would love to see a follow-up thrust its HF Blade into Sony's next-gen format.

I'm still going to pop this in "The Last Guardian" pile.
I strongly believe this is just to throw us off and that it's still coming
@NicolaHayden That's probably the safest bet, but who knows with Konami these days.
@NicolaHayden Lol Haha
Still complete BS. Who celebrates the two year anniversary of anything? So they gave a "piece of artwork" to Sony without telling them that it had no significance, which then happened to find its way onto an upcoming games video with the PS4 logo attached? At the very least, there's a re-release coming.
I still don't believe your lies.
what? A fan art doesn't simply turned into a 3D image inside a trailer... You telling me someone in Sony saw the artwork and decided to do extra work to make a 3D image just to put into a trailer? make no sense...
@Punished_Boss_84 Same here, I wouldn't be shocked if they decided to "surprise" us with MGR2 announcement during E3 2015.
