We don't know about you, but it feels like we're still easing our way into 2015. While there have been a fair few big releases between Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell and Dying Light, there hasn't been a whole lot to shout about. That's all set to change as we limp towards the end of the fiscal year, though, with publishers preparing to panic release pretty much everything in their stable. Evolve is first up β a game that was originally due out late last year, but was pushed back due to heavy competition.
Pick of the Week: Evolve
We're writing this through gritted teeth, as Super Stardust Ultra is definitely this author's choice for Pick of the Week. However, we can't ignore the latest boxed PlayStation 4 foray, and Evolve fills that role comfortably. Packing a pretty interesting twist on the traditional competitive shooter, this title sees one player-controlled monster facing off against four more traditional warriors. It's a nifty idea for sure.
Created by Left 4 Dead developer Turtle Rock Studios, the CryEngine-powered release has been scooping up critical awards like they're going out of fashion. And while the asymmetrical multiplayer setup may not be everyone's particular cup of tea, it's clear that the Californian company has invested an enormous amount of effort to ensure that the four-versus-one affair is well balanced β regardless of which side you're on.

I am still pleasantly shocked that these big games are coming out in the first quarter. Maybe the new business model will be new IP in the first quarter/regurgitate franchises in the 4th quarter. Maybe the successful launch(sales wise) of watchdogs last year turned some corporate heads.
More Super Stardust! winning
Still no news of Soldner X-2 though...
Super Stardust! Inject it into my eyeballs!
On Soldner X, according to the dev's post on their forum, March is the release target
Can't wait for Super Stardust!!!
Super Stardust is still, arguably, the best PSN game out there.
@get2sammyb maybe im just daft but wasn't Akiba Trip supposed to be out last week on the 6th...
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Yeah, did it not come out?
