It must be 5PM, because Ubisoft's sent out a big old press release about an upcoming game. This time, it's Assassin's Creed Chronicles, a 2.5D adventure that's diving onto the PlayStation 4 next month.
Launching on the 21st April in North America and the 22nd April in Europe, the first download in the Chronicles trilogy will take you to China, while the following tales will see you travel to India and Russia. Let's just hope that the publisher follows Capcom's lead with regards to Resident Evil: Revelations 2's logical release schedule, eh?

I thought this was only part of the season pass
if not I'm so geting these because no way am I getting the unity season pass
@FullbringIchigo I think it was always going to be standalone.
Looks cool, I'm bored with the regular AC, but this 2D stylised game can be fun.
I'm definitely interested in it, but will wait for reviews first.
Would love this on my Vita please Ubi
@Dodoo Yeah, would have gotten this if it came to Vita
Meh. But yeah, vita it and I'll be interested.
Think this is free with the season pass from unity. If so I'm doubly happy but if I've to buy then so be it. These look cool. They look like the original 'prince of persia' game has a lot to play in the layout/gameplay of these.
@TomKongPhooey Definitely get it with the Unity pass.
Its the only thing that pass holders get free over others.
You know, due to a terrible launch!
Remember how Rayman Origins started out as a 3 episode PSN game, but was changed to a full retail game to save people's money and to deliver a better experience?
This is literally the exact opposite of that process.
Who needs annual releases when you can get them every couple months! ~eyeroll~
I don't trust AC anymore, I'll wait till the review comes out then I'll see if I may like it.
There was a couple side scroller assassins creed games on the DS, they were not all that fun.
the water-ink graphics looks like it's made for the China setting.. I believe they just decided to maximize the profit for developing the engine and tada! Russia & India..
All this AC butthurt. This forum is getting as bad as GTAF(b1tch central). AC unity might have had a few release flaws but none of them were gamebreaking. Yes Im still missing a few nomad points or a chest or two which have glitched and can't be collected. Yes there is some drop out or whatever it's called but the general basics of the game worked and worked well and it was a refreshing return to just assassin's creed instead of sailing the whole game awayas in recent games. If you don't like the series anymore then stay away sure but I'm for one am more than happy with Ubisoft's games and look forward to these freebies alongside the Far Cry 4 digital copy I got for nothing. (season pass hehe)
I'll wait for reviews but 2d assains creed, now I'm interested. Could never get into the franchise for some reason.
I'll be passing on this, not a fan of side-scrollers.
