Parisian developer DONTNOD may have its work cut out with the intriguing – but somewhat out-of-touch – Life Is Strange, but that doesn't mean that it's forgotten about Remember Me. Regular readers will, er, recall the Capcom published title starting life as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, before Sony dropped the release at the last minute.
The title eventually deployed on multiple systems, where it was relatively well received, but didn't sell especially great. That hasn't stopped the studio from kicking around the idea of a sequel, however. "The main story has been written," said creative director Jean-Maxime Moris. "We know what we would fix. It's a game that's ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom's to make."
Furthering the firm's forward thinking approach, it's also currently bouncing around ideas for Life Is Strange's hypothetical Second Season – despite Episode Two not being out yet. "For Season Two, we started bouncing ideas off each other," he said. "Obviously we need to see, and Square Enix needs to see, how the first season does to really decide whether we kick it off or not."
Maxine Caulfield's inaugural outing divided the office last month, when some couldn't stand the dialogue, while others – including yours truly – fell in love with its grounded setting. Do you think that you'd be up for a return trip to Arcadia Bay, or are you going to see what the rest of the first season holds before making a decision? Decent game, a sequel could really improve upon it.
I enjoyed remember me. The combat had a nice twist on the attack and counter formula. It jus felt to linear, there was only one way to go most of the time and the memory remixes could of been really cool if there wasn't just a set way to do it.
I have little interest in Life Is Strange but would like to see a sequel to Remember Me. I like the idea of time manipulation in Life Is Strange but turned off by the teenage high school girl drama. I was excited about Remember Me well before it got release as I am a sucker for futuristic science fiction settings as long as it is not zombie overran or have mutants mutated far beyond reality. Side note, writing this gets me thinking about the sequel to Blade Runner we may see sometime in 2017.
I loved Remember Me, it was vibrantly atmospheric thanks to its brilliant energetic electronic soundtrack.
I recently bought Remember me but I still haven't gotten around to playing it yet.
Maybe after I beat Spider-Man: Edge of Time, will have to think about it.
The setting and plot was fine but the gameplay was rather clunky and lackluster, I mean this in a explicitly non sarcastic or derivisive way I would have rather this had been made as a movie.
I'd be interested in a sequel for this.
