Bloodborne takes at least 30 hours to complete, but if you're not a DualShock 4 sensei, you could end up exploring Yharnam for upwards of 65 hours. The fact that one person has beaten it in around 40 minutes is particularly impressive, then. Disclaimers: this person is a dirty cheat, using exploits to level up their character and skip most of the game. It's still mind blowing, though.
Perhaps the most amazing thing is that this isn't the cleanest speed run you'll ever see. "This was a pretty good run but I can certainly get faster," he said of the attempt. And it's true: he wastes an enormous amount of time trying to land an early jump, for example. You can watch the full attempt below – but obviously beware of spoilers and stuff.

What? Why?
My thoughts exactly, why?
@Eldritch @Alpha for all the girls, obvs
If they used glitches and bugs for a speed run, I am not impressed.
Im level 83 and 45 hours in. I could go ahead and finish it I guess but Im getting myself ready for NG+. This is the best game I have played in years and Im loving every minute. To think I nearly gave Bloodbourne a miss due to not liking Dark Souls. A may give the Souls games another try now I've mastered Bloodbourne.
I wish there was a game as good as Bloodbourne on my XB1 as it would give me a reason to blow off the dust and switch it on
@WARDIE agreed. It is definitely one of the best games of the past few years.
On another note, I'm not impressed by this run through. I don't consider the game done until you kill em all!!
Dirty Cheats don't deserve recognition!!!!!!
Thank god for patches: Update 1.02 fixes a nasty little progression bug and removes glitch that allowed for infinite item duplication.
