Do you know what Europeans love just as much as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? Er, baseball of course. In fact, we love it so much on these ancient shores that we've not only got MLB 15 The Show to look forward to this week, but also Super Mega Baseball, the surprisingly good arcade title from Metalhead Software. It's due out on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 from 1st April.
Not to be confused with more traditional sports like rounders, this take on the popular American pastime features four-player local multiplayer, accessible controls, and blazing fast gameplay. Our very own Graham Banas said that it "definitely hits a homerun" in his review. Just don't expect any tea and Battenberg after you've finished your, er, innings. That's the technical term, right?

If soccer is called football shouldn't baseball be called batball?
Forgot all about this - releasing a baseball game 2 weeks before Christmas in the US wasn't the best marketing strategy. Coming out at the same time as MLB The Show 2015 isn't much better though. Don't know about the game but they need to fire their marketing department.
If US gets a $10 sale in honour of the EU release I'll pick it up.
@rjejr I think both games are going to struggle over here, but maybe there's a secret baseball fanbase I don't know about.
@get2sammyb - Well I never would have expected Battlefield Hardline to sell in Japan so anything's possible I guess. Well for the Show anyway.
@rjejr Touche. I was also very surprised by Hardline.
Why would anyone prefer this to just getting MLB the show? Well, I suppose it has some sort of niche market it is aiming for.
It surprised me as well when I first got here, but apparently the Dutch kick ass in baseball. It seems on the outside the entire country is playing football (the actual football), but they win baseball world cups and stuff.
I actually like baseball too, but after last year's MLB loading times I got around to playing 4 games tops....so no more The Show for me. So this might be a fun replacement.
This game is really fun...it's like the Backyard Sports games that were on PS2 and Xbox 360 mixed with the feel of the little league baseball titles. Didn't know that the Europeans get their games this much later than the US though.
