Good luck

We suspect that this week's WAYP is going to be dominated by one title: Bloodborne. Most of us here at Push Square Towers are getting down and dirty with From Software's latest, and we suspect that things will be much the same for many of you. A word of advice for everyone: DualShock 4's are really expensive, so don't throw one at the wall.

Sunday, Bloodborne, Sunday. I'll be continuing my quest into Yharnam this weekend, as Bloodborne is, naturally, going to be my go-to game. I'm still not sure whether I'm going to get on with the release long-term, but I'm certainly looking forward to my punishment in the here and now.

We're now officially creeping past the first big review season of 2015, so that means it's time to catch up on everything that I haven't quite finished due to time constraints. I'll be helping newbies online in Toukiden: Kiwami, grinding for skills that continue to evade me in Dragon Ball XenoVerse, and trying to beat my arcade score in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round. The latter has become a weekend staple – its approachable gameplay makes it a perfect fit for lazy Sunday afternoons.

I'm splitting my weekend between two activities: watching Game of Thrones and playing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Both have more in common than you would think at first glance, as they're highly addictive and aren't afraid to take your heart and stamp on it.

Like the rest of the worldwide PlayStation 4 owning population, I've been playing a lot of Bloodborne – or rather, it's been playing me. With a cleaver. Aside from that, the recent release of Heists on Grand Theft Auto V have compelled me to finally pick it up and get stuck in as somewhat of a side project while I'm not being mauled by all manner of sharp objects.

I'm planning on letting a coin flip decide if I want to spend the weekend bashing my head against a brick wall or playing Bloodborne. Both options will have roughly the same effect on me, so it's a bit of a toss-up – a coin-toss up even – which one is going to emerge victorious. In addition, I'll probably loll about enjoying some Netflix as I tick away the days before Mortal Kombat X. [Always looking forward is our Graham – Ed]

After attending a nice video game tournament at my university on Friday night, it's time for all things Bloodborne this weekend. The chains of education may pull me away from its ominous yet captivating gothic world, but I will make time to answer the call of the hunt with pure confidence. Okay, maybe a bit of wary trepidation will serve me well.

While I'll probably end up spending most of my time trying to choose between Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Bloodborne, it's safe to say my reaction time will be tested either way. Firmware update v2.50 also gave me the daunting task of sorting through my 350 plus games and removing all of the zero per cent disappointments I've accumulated over the past few years.
