Good news, good hunter

If there's one problem that we'd point at Bloodborne – aside from those dreaded Defiled Chalice dungeons – it's the long load times. Sure, you can pretty much run from one end of the world to the other without ever seeing a stumbling block – grotesque enemies aside – but having to travel to and from the Hunter's Dream is a chore of the ultimate order.

To celebrate the release surpassing one million sales, then, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa has taken to the PlayStation Blog to confirm that patch v1.03 is being forged in From Software's underground lair as we write – and it's going to be a good one. "The update seeks to reduce certain load times in addition to performance optimisations," the Japan Studio employee said.

The patch will also resolve that weird memory leak that caused the game to get easier if you left it running for hours at a time, and there's also the promise of other fixes; presumably the broken lift leading to Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos will be repaired.
