GUNS UP! Holsters Its Weapons on PS3, PS Vita

Free-to-play strategy game GUNS UP! has laid down arms on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, opting for PlayStation 4 exclusivity instead. The news – which is going to make our lives much easier from a database management perspective – has prompted some disappointment among handheld fans, but the developer states that it didn't take the decision lightly.

"We really wanted to bring it to the Vita and tried very hard to do so, even contracting out an expert team on Vita on Unity to help try to see if there was a way that we could accomplish this goal," a spokesperson wrote on the firm's official website. "This effort is actually one of the primary reasons we went relatively dark for months after Gamescom. We know that this decision won't be popular with everyone, but with a small team we had to make a choice on whether we wanted to deliver the PS4 game that the team really wanted to make or change from the vision of this game and support other platforms."
