Mortal Kombat X isn't officially due out until next week, but some lucky brawlers have already got the PlayStation 4 title in their blood-soaked mitts. This has, of course, resulted in a series of pulled YouTube videos and Twitch streams – but perhaps the most relevant piece of information to emerge from the broken street date pertains to its day one patch.
This weighs in at a whopping 1.8GB, so you'll need to set aside a fair bit of time to download it before you boot up your copy. Improvements include enhanced online stability, gameplay tweaks and balancing, and various bug fixes. Some are saying that it reduces the amount of in-game Kurrency that you earn per match, but we've been unable to verify that.
Of course, with copies in the wild, if you're eager to avoid fatality spoilers, then you may want to temporarily rip out your eyes right now. You can always pop them back in when 14th April eventually arrives, right?

A tiny bit out of topic, but anyone knows where i can find a fatality list? As always Krypt has them, but again as always I got for the players I don't care much
Put my PS3 version of Last of US in last night and only had a measly 252MB update.
"More!" I was screaming at the Patch gods, "Give me more!" I felt like I was getting ripped off, or only half a game. I felt cheated getting to start playing in a matter of only a few minutes.
Thats how far insane the world has become, huge updates are the norm, anything less and we'll all feel slighted, demanding our huge update patches on Day 1. (As long as their free, and not on disc DLC. But that time will come as well.)
Even more fuel for my "Wait for the Komplete Edition" fire. Again, I hope the PS3 version is not half baked.
1.8GB is nothing. That'd only take about 2 minutes to download & install on my connection. No 5gb+ patch so I can sit around moaning for 5 minutes before I play the game, No sale
It's not a big enough problem for me to get mad about. Now, if it were over 10gb, then I'd see a problem in this.
I agree with some of the people here, games are 30 or 50 gig these days, so I don't think a 2 gig patch is that much of a stretch.
I don't see a problem with day 1 patches at all. I rather DL them then miss out on features or play a broken game. And 1,8 gig? It's not 1999 anymore. Even my phone can DL that much within minutes...
Eh, I think you're stretching the definition of "whopping" by using it in this context. 1.8g is not really a big deal these days. Also, Id rather it gets patched day 1 than have to play a buggy game.
