With no sign of Gran Turismo on the horizon, Project CARS is a pretty important release for the PlayStation 4. While we're big fans of DriveClub here at Push Square Towers, there haven't really been many other meaningful racing games for Sony's next-gen format just yet β in fact, launch title Need for Speed: Rivals is the only other option that immediately springs to mind.
Those of you that love simulations will be pleased to see Slightly Mad Studios' crowd-funded title really shaping up, then β and this excellent Team VVV video shows off various features and vehicles from a near-final version of the game. Perhaps the most impressive thing to us is just how sharp it all looks β especially seeing as it's running at a silky smooth 60 frames-per-second. Va va voom.

Looks outstanding, cant wait for this. The only disappointing part was the crowd didn't have umbrellas at hockenheim in the rain.
Was about to watch but the video is too long
nice, I guess the game is running at 60 fps and thats why it does look beautiful, but in terms of graphics complexity driveclub is better.
I know it has a good chance of turning out to be a good game, but I can't help but have a feeling Gran Turismo PS4 might be announced at E3 this year with an early 2016 release date. I'll wait and see I guess before making up my mind about purchasing this game. I'd honestly rather wait though, as I'm not a huge fan of racers, but I'd be willing to give it a chance with either this or the next Gran Turismo.
Out of all the project cars videos so far, FINALLY this one looks nice. Shame it was a pc version. I'm a gamer that loves racing games, not a petrol head that wants to use a console to simulate my racing passion, so I'm still unsure about this. I'm enjoying driveclub too much - it's better for gamers like me I think..
I really want this game but I might hold off until SRTs, Corvettes, GTRs are on board among other cars. I like racing in the GT and GrandAm classes but a lot of my favorite cars are not on here I'll wait to see how the DLC pans out I guess ... Game looks phenomenal though !
@get2sammyb how many cars and tracks are Included in the release or have I messed an article?
@iDangerMouse_
Yes there is a career mode in the game, quite a comprehensive one actually π
Looks amazing!! I wonder if there will be any damage detection so if your car gets knackered it affects the way it handles?
@iDangerMouse_ There is, yeah. The cool thing is that you can pick where you want to start: you don't necessarily have to do rags-to-riches if you already feel comfotable with faster cars.
Looks great but Driveclub beats it. 60 fps is nice though. An option for a locked 30 would be good too.
I'm starved for a racing game on the PS4. I really tried to get into DriveClub but just didn't like the handling model and never could get used to it, so I'm really looking forward to this game where I've heard you can tweak how the car controls quite a bit.
I am so all over this
@rockman29 graphics, who cares... as long there is good physics, cool cars, cool tracks, good AI, and lots and lots of tuning options
