T'was another pretty uneventful week on Planet PlayStation as publishers perhaps prepare to shut up shop ahead of E3 in a couple of months. Sure, there was the reveal of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, but it turned out to be one of those pithy reveals with a CG trailer and the promise of more information in the near future. Our biggest story this time out pertained to spiritual PlayStation Home successor Atom Universe – which just about says everything, no?

Bloodborne - 9/10

From start to finish, Bloodborne revels in its unique – if somewhat masochistic – approach to entertainment. There are very few games that cause you to curse their developer one minute and sing their praises the next – but this is one of them. It is, quite simply, a sensationally designed and superbly refined offering.

Bastion - 9/10

When we played Bastion for the first time a few years ago, we literally gave it an instinctive standing ovation as the credits began to roll, and our pleasantly surprised reaction remains justified. This game is a testament to the type of human creativity, innovation, and wonder that are sometimes only possible with indie games, and now that it has graced Sony's systems, you can understand why it will continue to entrench itself as a classic for years to come.

Soapbox: We Need More New Game Plus

Just a couple of days ago, I started a new playthrough of Dragon Age: Inquisition, in preparation for the first slice of DLC that's hitting PlayStation consoles in May. Having already completed the game once, I was looking forward to slogging through the adventure again while making use of the knowledge that I had gained from my first run. So far, I'm enjoying BioWare's epic all over again, but after spending close to an hour searching bags for crafting materials and reading signs for small experience point boosts, my enthusiasm started to wane.

Soapbox: Sony Really Needs to Give Us More PlayStation Plus Cloud Space

There's one thing that you really need to know about me: I worry – a lot. For as long as I can remember, I've had irrational reactions to almost everything in my life: did I just put my modest size eight shoes in my mouth? Did I just get that exam question wrong – even though I've triple checked it twice? Have I mucked up my Bloodborne playthrough because that wheelchair dude from the Hunter's Dream has vanished from my game? You get the idea; when there's nothing to worry about, I worry about that.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's Debut PS4 Trailer Is Augmented with Action

Following yesterday's leak, Square Enix has gone ahead and released Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's debut trailer. As you'd expect at this point, it's not actual gameplay, instead opting to show off some admittedly impressive CG animation, complete with action packed scenarios.

This Certainly Isn't Confirmation of a PS4 Uncharted Collection

Minor exaggeration: every website under the sun is reporting on this 'leaked' Uncharted Trilogy Collection for the PlayStation 4, so we suppose that we better chime in and tell you why it's fake. Available for pre-order now from a Swiss retailer's website that totally doesn't look dodgy in the slightest, anyone with half a brain should be able to figure out why it ain't legit – but apparently some sources think that that may be up for debate.

Did Dying Light Scare Dead Island 2 Away?

This is a strange one, isn't it? Techland, the developer behind the original Dead Island, went on to create the rather enjoyable Dying Light after departing from publisher Deep Silver. Meanwhile, the former's getting a sequel in the form of Dead Island 2, but as Videogamer.com cleverly points out, we haven't seen or heard from the game in a quite a while. And the strangest part? It's sill supposed to be releasing this spring.

Sony's Going to Give You Free Stuff for Duping You into Buying a Vita

Remember when Sony was found guilty of a deceptive PlayStation Vita marketing campaign? The commercials talked up the possibilities of cross-save, and failed to include any disclaimers, leaving the firm in a legal tussle. It lost, and now anyone who bought the portable before 1st June, 2012 is entitled to compensation. You'll need to be from the United States, mind – the ads only ran overseas.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Will Take Place in a 'Dark, Twisted' Future

It sounds like Call of Duty: Black Ops III will freeze out the Cold War roots at the centre of Treyarch's sub-series, taking the futuristic elements of Call of Duty: Black Ops II and running with them. A leaked blurb discovered on the franchise's official website reveals that the forthcoming sequel will take place in a "dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldiers emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology that we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare". So, it's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, then.
