In the least surprising news ever, Watch Dogs 2 appears to have been let off its lease. Julien Risse, who worked on the previous instalment in the phone hacking series, has accidentally included the release on his Linked In profile. This is no surprise, of course, as Ubisoft has talked about the possibility of creating a sequel to the popular sandbox romp ever since its release last year.
It'll be interesting, however, to see if the game is announced during this year's E3 press conference. The French publisher does tend to save the odd big reveal for the end of its shows, with Rainbow Six Siege occupying that slot last year. Could we see the return of Aiden Pearce and his uber-Android in a few months' time? Phone home in the comments section below.

lease = leash or is lease a UK term?
Better start working on some new dog puns.
Definetly needs to be better than the first one
Well the last dlc did set it up for a sequel pretty easy.
It seems like I'm the only one who enjoyed the first one alot. I'm hoping for a sequel.
@rjejr leash is lead (as in lead the way) in the UK. It looks like a typo.
@Tunmats I liked the 1st game. The story wasn't original and its graphics and such were not as advertised but the city had a gloomy gritty feel to it that I enjoyed.
I read the subtitle to this article as if the game had been cancelled. I would not be surprised to see a sequel to this.
I enjoyed the first one, and yes, I liked the story. However, I dreaded driving because the driving mechanics sucked. That and there wasn't a jump action and whenever you jumped off or out of a vehicle the animations looked absolutely stiff and stupid. Not at all realistic. Hopefully they fix all these issues in the sequel, and make a plot a lot more powerful than the first.
Done with Ubisoft. thx
Was the first one really bad? Then why are they going to make a sequel when the former needed some work with its glitches....
I loved the first wd, the main character was a bit angry and brooding (like Nigel Pearson for Leicester city) but the game was great. The drinking games, 4 drinks and they are down. Lightweights.
Disappointed with the first, personally. Doubt I'd check the second one unless it's phenomenal.
First one was okay, but could've been more than it was. I'd be willing to pick up the sequel to see where it goes, but won't take it beyond that if it's just more of the same.
Didn't care much for the first one, but played through for the story. I hope they make some improvements with driving and variety with side missions. Main character is has very dry personality. The most interesting character in the game in my opinion, wont be in part 2. I'm still not sure what Ubi was thinking when they made that decision.
@BlueProxy I I know exactly what you mean, that was a great character. Aiden was very wooden. However I did really enjoy the first game aside from the driving. The gunplay was fun and so was the hacking, but I would like to see a lot more options hacking wise in a sequel.I want the hacking to offer multiple paths to complete missions. Oh and I hope they sort out the side quests. They were rather boring and samey
I liked Watch Dogs, but understand why some people didn't. There were a lot of things ripped from other Ubi games, and most the of the time hacking basically meant holding down square when the prompt came up, but it was still a good open world game IMO with some interesting ideas.
@Tunmats No man I really enjoyed the first one too.
Though I agree with those that say Ubisoft are sh*t with character creation and this was no exception. Talk about the most hypocritical character ever. Saving his sister while killing hundreds and wrecking Chicago in the process! lol
The first one was okay, but by the time I beat it I was thankful that it was over. The story and Aiden were awful. I hope this one is a lot better because the concept does have a lot of potential. I will most certainly be waiting on reviews though and if I do pick it up it will probably be on a sale.
I enjoyed Watch Dogs for what it was and would love to see a sequel. The gunplay and stealth were great I thought as well as the hacking mechanics which added a whole different spin to the open world formula. Bring it ubisoft!
Really enjoyed the first one and genuinely don't understand the complaints about the driving. I thought driving round Chicago was great fun, and the mechanics seemed just about right for an open world non driving game - we're not talking Gran Turismo here...
I've never played Watch_Dogs before, still waiting until I own a PS4 before I obtain it.
However if this rumor does turn out to be true, I'll be excited, love anything done by Ubisoft.
