It may have only been a day overdue, but let's be honest: Shovel Knight shouldn't have been late in the first place. Fortunately, we can all take solace in the news that Yacht Club Games' critically acclaimed side-scroller is finally available in Europe – apparently it managed to break free from SCEE's infamous QA limbo, which still holds the likes of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive captive.
The game can be yours for £10.79 if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber – or £11.99 if you're not. Remember, this is totally cross-buy compatible, so one purchase will unlock the title across the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and, of course, Vita. It's finally mine.
Heard alot of good things about it, is it worth the money tho?
@sham8nix I have the same question as you.
This was a great game on the Wii U...at least according to reviews...so this may be a title to try out. I just want to know a little bit more about it...is it worth the price and what is the game really like.
@JLPick @Mrskinner @sham8nix We'll have a review very soon!
I normally have a rule to myself that "I don't pay for any digital game over £10" but I'll make an exception with Shovel Knight since it's only 79p more and your getting PS3/4/Vita there and then. Unlike Bastion (which is a game I've waited a long time to get) which is a 4 year old game that's £11.99, had no unique features added to it, no discount for EU and despite been crossbuy isn't available on Vita yet.
To those wondering, yes, it is worth the price. I'd pay twice that price for the game, it's one of the best games of the last few years.
Definitely picking this up.
On a related note, what in the world happened with CS:GO after all? I waited for a couple of years for that to be dropped on PS3 and nothing! Total radio silence!
