The 12th May is fast approaching, so it must be time to drum up some hype for Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster's arrival on the PlayStation 4.
Already available on PS3 and Vita, it's a solid collection, and should be a decent entry point for PS4 players who haven't sampled Square Enix's mega franchise. From what we can tell, it doesn't look much better than the existing last-gen and handheld remasters in terms of visuals, but we doubt that'll matter when you're stomping about in the boots of the ever-enthusiastic Tidus.

As I've said before, this will make a fantastic entry point for people who haven't owned a PS console before the PS4, so I do understand why they're making this.
But I really don't understand people who I've seen saying they're going to buy it, despite already having the PS3 version. There is only so much you can do to remaster a 13 nearly 14 year old game, and I really don't see that this is going to be any different from the PS3 version.
There's not even a valid point about buying to get the trophies again, because this was hands down the grindiest platinum I've ever gotten!
I never picked up the PS3 version so I'm completely on board. I haven't played these games in many years, but I remember X being fun (despite the main character) and X-2 being... well I think I only paid ten bucks for it so that's not too bad.
For the love of yevon get rid of bevelle temple. Go on sin you know you want too. Great game just passed said temple on my 3rd run on the game. The vita version is great buy it on that.
I never got to play x , so now I have actual reason to play it, Sounds like a win to me.
I once managed to scrape a 1-0 win in the very first Blitzball match with the wack basic Aurochs team. I think it was just pure luck though as i've never done it again.
Hope the lack of news for FF VII means they're actually smoothing out the graphics. If it's just a rom dump of the PC version...
@ApostateMage Brilliant from memory ive lost 3-0, 2-0 and on my last run 1-0 in the first competitive match at the tournament. Its solid to score as the shot stats are too low. Kudos to you my friend. Has anyone played blitzball all the way through? Ive only ever played the bare minimum.
@themcnoisy I actually enjoy playing the Blitz tournaments in the game. You can build up an unbeatable squad in no time by playing competitive matches and building stats by making sure all your team get on the ball. Some good prizes too for winning tournaments.
Let's blitz!
I still need to play my copy of the PS3 version....it'll be nice to eventually replay one of my fave games during my teen years.
